Katya's POV

"Trixie, have lunch with me."

"Why?"

"Because I wanna ask you something."

"Katya, just ask me now. I don't like eating in the lunch room."

"Okay then, I'll go with you wherever you go." Trixie shook her head as she closed her locker.

"Fine."

"Hell yeah." Trixie and I walked towards the old auditorium. "Trixie?"

"Yeah?"

"I wanna hold your hand." Trixie stopped walking and stared at me.

"What?"

"I said I want to hold your hand."

"W-why?"

"Because I think it would be nice."

"Katya, you're so weird."

"For wanting to hold your hand?"

"For a lot of reasons."

"You haven't answered my question."

"Katya." Trixie groaned as she opened the auditorium door. She turned on one of the smaller lights and walked to the stage.

"Hey Trixie?"

"Hmm?"

"Do you like the class?"

"Well, it is okay so far."

"Ms. Davenport is a good teacher, well when she tries."

"I get the feeling that she doesn't try often."

"Yeah and that is what makes her great." Trixie took a sip of her water as she looked at me.

"So what is your question?"

"Oh yeah, do you wanna go on a date with me?" Trixie almost spit out her water as she started coughing. "Woah, are you okay?"

"Yeah, shit I'm okay. Um a date?"

"Yeah, fuck I mean that's if you're into girls. If not then just forget I asked. Fuck, I didn't think about you being straight. I am so sorry Trixie, that was so rude of me." Trixie laughed as she closed her water.

"Katya, relax. I'm not straight but I'm.. I didn't expect you to ask me out."

"Why?"

"I didn't know you were actually into girls."

"Oh mama, how? My friends say I give off such big dyke energy."

"I'm awful at reading people."

"I can believe that."

"Don't be an asshole Katya."

"I'll try not to be. So, do you?"

"I guess I do have to give you an answer, don't I?"

"That would be nice mama." Trixie smiled as she leaned close to me. She looked in my eyes as she put her hand on my thigh.

"You know.." Her eyes quickly drifted to my lips, she grinned as she looked in my eyes again. "I'll have to think about it." Trixie leaned back as she laughed.

"Damn, you are awful."

"Am I?"

"Yes, you are." Trixie shrugged as she peeled an orange. "Do you wanna come over today after school?"

"Oh, you're actually gonna make it through a whole day."

"I guess I am."

"Well, I guess I'll come over then." Trixie pulled apart her orange and held out half for me to take. I took the orange as I smiled at Trixie. She was so beautiful, but also a little mystery. "Hey Katya?"

"Hmm?"

"I have to write a song for my music class."

"That's fancy."

"No, it's hell for me. But I was wondering if you could come to the music room with me, you know when I practice?"

"Really?"

"Well yeah, you asked to hear me play so perfect time."

"That...well thank you Trixie."

"Ugh, don't think that means I like you or anything."

"Oh yea, is that why you haven't answered my question?"

"Maybe." I fell back on the stage and groaned.

"You're killing me Trix, you're killing me. Why do you have to be so difficult?"

"Because it makes things exciting."

"And stressful."

"You'll be fine, but I'm gonna get to class."

"Yeah, yeah, yeah."

"I'll see you after school okay?"

"Blah." I heard Trixie giggle as she packed up her stuff.

"See ya later Katya." I waved as I listened to Trixie walk down the stairs. I stared at the lights above my head as I sighed. At least she didn't say no, so maybe there is a chance of her saying yes. I had no idea why I was drawn to Trixie. Maybe it was the few times that she smiled, or the softness of her eyes, shit it could even be that coldness that she wears like a sweater. I didn't know what it was, but that didn't matter to me. All I knew is that I wanted to get to know Trixie more. I wanted to hear everything about her, from her earliest memory to her deepest fear. Maybe it was for a friendship but I kind of hoped it could lead to something more.
