Trixie's POV
*one month later*

Katya and I had been dating for about a month and it was great. Katya was just the sweetest person I had ever met. I slowly opened my eyes and chuckled when I looked down. Katya was laying on my stomach, fast asleep. I remember telling Katya that I was having really bad cramps. She spent the whole night trying to make me feel better. My mom and Bianca weren't home last night so Katya wanted to stay over. Katya held me through the night, and I loved it. "Stop moving."

"I wasn't even moving."

"Yes, you were."

"Whatever, get up. I want to cook breakfast." Katya groaned as she sat up. She stretched and opened her eyes slowly.

"Why can't we go back to sleep?"

"Because I'm hungry, that's why." I stood up and put on a large hoodie over my pjs.

"Why are you so sassy in the morning, like that isn't necessary."

"Go back to sleep Kat."

"No, I'm up now because you're awake." I chuckled as I put my hair in a high ponytail.

"How does eggs, bacon, and waffles sound?"

"Fucking delicious."

"I'll get right to it." I reached for my doorknob but stopped when Katya threw a pillow at my head. "Why'd you do that?"

"You're trying to leave without giving me a kiss."

"You are unbearable." I walked back to my bed and leaned down, kissing Katya softly. I felt her grin against my lips as she pulled me down on top of her. "Katya!"

"Got ya!"

"Katya, I have to go cook so we can eat."

"I have idea for something I can eat, and you don't have to cook it." I looked at Katya, wide eyed. I could feel a slight blush filling my cheeks. I let my head fall into Katya's neck, hiding.

"Katya, I hate you."

"No you don't. Hey, lift your head baby."

"Huh? Why?" I lifted my head to look at Katya. She smiled and moved a piece of my hair that has escaped my ponytail.

"I just wanted to see how beautiful you are."

"Ugh, hush."

"But it's true. You are the best thing to wake up to."

"Katya, why are you so corny?"

"I'm not corny, you just suck at emotions."

"And so what if I do? What of it?"

"Nothiby, nothing. Anyway, have you decided if you're going to Adore's party?"

"I haven't really thought about it."

"Well, it is in a few days and I still really want you to go with me."

"I was hoping you had given up on that."

"I give up on nothing."

"Yeah, I've noticed. That is how we started dating in the first place."

"You say that like it's a bad thing."

"Take it as you will." I smiled as Katya frowned at me.

"Yeah, yeah whatever. Are you gonna go with me?" I looked at Katya and sighed.

"Fine, I'll go but please promise that if I don't like it, we can leave."

"I promise baby." Katya kissed my cheek with a huge smile.

"When is your mom gonna be home?"

"I have no idea." I sat back down next to Katya on the sofa as she watched Real Housewives of Alanta. "Why do you watch this?"

"I love the drama. You never know when a fight is going to break out. It is the pinnacle of good television."

"Weirdo." I began to tune my guitar, cursing each time a wrong note was played.

"I want to hear you play the piano."

"What?"

"I wanna hear you play." I set down my guitar and looked at Katya.

"Come on." I took Katya's hand and led her to a room upstairs at the end of the hall.

"Where are we going?"

"You wanna hear me play so you will." I opened the door and coughed as dust filled my lungs.

"Is that the piano?"

"Yeah."

"Why is it covered?"

"Because I don't use it and I'm the only one who knows how to play." I pulled the large white sheet off of the piano and felt a small sting of sadness. I ran my finger over the white and black keys, feeling my emotions rush over me.

"You know, you don't have to play right?"

"I know I don't, but I want to." I sat at the bench in front of the piano and took a deep breathe. It seemed so big to me. My mind was blank but maybe that was best. I let my fingers play notes that slowly formed into a song. A song that I didn't remember learning but at this point, playing wasn't a passion anymore. It was just like I was a machine and I was programmed. It was all stopped when I felt Katya's hand on my back.

"Relax baby." She kept her hand on my back as she peppered soft kisses on my cheeks. She slowly brought me out of the state I was in.

"I'm sorry."

"For what?"

"I don't know what happen."

"Trix, it sounded beautiful but I want you to play with a relaxed mind babe. You were stiff as a board and you weren't blinking or anything. Your hands were the only things moving. Maybe you shouldn't play."

"No..I want to. Will you sit with me Katya? I want to feel you next to me."

"Of course silly." Katya set next to me on the bench with a smile. She let her hand rest on my thigh as I began to play again. This time around, I had a vision in my mind. A vision that made a soft melody feel my ears and heart. A vision that guided my hands. After playing a few more notes, I lifted my fingers from the keys. "Trix, that was beautiful."

"Thanks."

"What's wrong?" I held my head down, tears falling down my cheeks. I gripped onto my shorts and tried to breathe. "Trixie, baby what's wrong?"

"It felt so different."

"What did?"

"Playing. It felt like I could actually breathe, like I actually felt like I was a human. Controlling what my fingers did."

"Is that a good thing?"

"It's scary. I haven't had passion for playing in such a long time. My dad took that away from me. My brain was always so filled with the sounds of his yelling and the threats that I had no room for error, no room to be a person. That probably doesn't make any sense. I'm sorry."

"Don't be, I want to take the time to understand baby. Please?" I looked into Katya's eyes and saw my vision. The vision that had long hair and blue eyes.
