Katya's POV
Trixie and I had been walking through the mall for close to 10 minutes. She was very quiet, which pulled me in closer to her. "Hey Trix?"

"My name is Trixie, not Trix."

"I can't call you Trix?"

"How would you feel if I called you Kat?"

"I'd like it." Trixie stopped walking and shook her head. I grabbed Trixie's hand and pulled her to the food court. "I'm gonna get a smoothie, do you want one?"

"Not really."

"Okay, well here." I gave Trixie money for her food then ran off. I stood in line waiting to order my smoothie. As I stood in line, my friend Brooke called. "Hello?"

"Where are you?"

"Oh, at the mall."

"Ugh, you were supposed to eat lunch with me and Vanessa."

"Oh crap, that was today?"

"Yes it was today. Where are you?"

"I told you I'm at the mall. I met a new girl today, she has been alone every time I saw her today so I thought she needed a friend."

"I would say that is sweet but I'm mad at you right now."

"Aw Brooke, hmm how about I bring you a box of cookies?"

"Chocolate chip?"

"Of course."

"Alright, I guess I forgive you. Have fun."

"You too and tell your girlfriend I said hi."

"She's not my girlfriend Katya."

"Well, you want her to be." I giggled and ended the call before Brooke could say anything else. I ordered my smoothie and walked back to the food court to find Trixie. She was sitting at a table playing with her food. "Didn't your mother ever tell you not to play with your food?" I sat at the table with Trixie and smiled.

"Haha very funny." Trixie continued to play with her food, poking a veggie with a fork over and over again.

"Okay Tracy, what's up?"

"Huh?"

"You're mean, why?"

"I, I'm not mean."

"You seem like it, or is it that you don't like me?"

"I, um I never said that."

"Hmm." Trixie went back to playing with her food before looking at me.

"Do I seem mean?"

"Hmm your shyness comes off that way. Well, I guess it's shyness."

"I just don't talk much, I don't feel like I have a reason to."

"Well, what if I want you to talk. Isn't that a good enough reason?"

"I guess it is."

"Good, because I want to be your friend Trixie."

"Okay."

"Okay." After Trixie was done eating, we walked around the mall. "Want anything?"

"Huh?"

"Do you want anything?"

"No."

"How about a teddy bear?"

"Do I seem like I want a teddy bear?" I looked at Trixie with a smile.

"To be honest, yes." I grabbed Trixie's hand and pulled her into Build-A-Bear.

"No, no, no."

"Yes, yes, yes." Trixie groaned as I stopped in the middle of the store. "Make one."

"No."

"Come on. There must be more responses in your vocabulary than no."

"Yeah, such as hell no."

"Smart ass. Okay here, I'll make one for you and you make one for me. Sounds fair?"

"You don't know enough about me to make me a bear."

"Oh yeah I do, your locker, lunch bag, backpack, and your makeup says a lot about you. Oh yeah, and so does your hair clips." I poked at one of the pink bows in Trixie's hair. She slapped my hand away and rolled her eyes.

"Fine."

"Good. See ya when I'm done." I walked away from Trixie and looked around. I grabbed an empty bear and filled it with stuffing. After zipping it up, I looked through all of the bear outfits. I decided on a pink cheerleader uniform that said princess on the front of the shirt. I knew there was a possibility that Trixie wouldn't take it but I wanted her to at least laugh at it. I smiled at a pink leather jacket and put it on the bear. I put a pair of little pink shoes on the white bear and walked to the front of the store. As I waited for Trixie, I saw little white boxes that said record a special message above them. I smiled and grabbed a voice recorder, recorded a message for Trixie, unzipped the back of the bear and put the little white box inside. I squeezed it and smiled even bigger as I listened to the message. It was cute, hopefully it was cute enough for Trixie.
