"These violent delights have violent ends." William Shakespeare

It was early morning when the BAU settled into their seats, the flight had been delayed overnight, Emily dropped her bag onto a seat as her phone rang. She moved to the back of the plane, as the others started a poker game, she paced in the small kitchen area. Emily would stop and start pacing which drew the team's worried gaze to her, one by one they returned to the card game. JJ looked over to the black haired beauty, her hand never seemed to stay still, after a minute Emily trapped the phone between her shoulder and ear and began to nervously pick at her nails. Luke tapped his cards against the table drawing JJJ's attention, "your call." She turned her attention back to the poker game in front of her. They made through two hands, with Reid winning both before Emily hung up and made her way to the group. JJ looked up from where she was dealing. "Emily, you okay? You've gone pale." The rest of the group looked at their usually fearless leader, her face was ashen, her phone rattled as she placed it on the table. Giving them a glance at her freshly picked nails which she began to copy on her other hand. "Yeah." She gave a shaky exhale. "I've just a call from the PD, they've had a call. A couple of teenagers found a body." The team waited for the rest of the explanation. "Her heart was cut out." There was a deafening stunned silence, "We've seen that before." Rossi reminded the team. Emily nodded, "The PD don't know what to think and they've asked for our help." Emily looked around at her team, all of whom held different expressions, horror, empathy, but mostly confusion, ideas of a copycat or jailing the wrong person came to their minds. JJ nodded, "I'll call Garcia get her to check for any other related cases, and fill her in. I'll also see if the unsubs from the original case; Esme or Linda James had any living relatives, we missed from the last case." Everyone else nodded, raising from their seats, cards lay forgotten. Once more the team left the jet, as they walked towards the black SUV's Emily turned to her group, but her statement was seemed to be directed at Reid, "We go nowhere alone." They nodded in agreement, heading towards their new crime scene, while JJ rebooked the rooms for them to stay in.

They arrived at the apartment building, splitting up. Reid, Emily and JJ headed towards the victims' apartment, while Rossi and Matt talked to the police gathered outside. Tara and Luke went to question the doorman. Once they got outside the three agents greeted the officers that were guarding the scene, as well as Jayne who gave them a grimace, she left one of her officers and headed over to them. "Her friends found her. It's...uh...quite a scene." Jayne paused, her eyes kept flicking to Emily who didn't notice as she was too busy observing the men being questioned. "I'll talk to them, you two access the crime scene." JJ and Reid nodded, Jayne led them to the door, and with one more glance back at Emily, before she disappeared into the heavy iron air.

Emily approached the two teenagers, one was shorter than the other with brown hair and eyes, and the other was slightly taller with blonde hair and blue eyes. Both were dressed in jeans while one wore a t-shirt while the other wore a dress shirt. "Can you tell me what happened?" The blonde looked at her with a wild look in his eyes, "The floor. And the...heart." The other nodded along emphatically as if it explained everything. It took a few minutes to calm the terrified teenagers but, after getting the statements from the two friends, Emily moved away with the cop and he began to explain what had happened, what he had seen and the neighbour's statements.
