The ride back to the police station was silent, Luke mulling over the nagging feeling, Reid staring out the window as the houses and shops as they flashed by, Rossi was driving thinking back to the original heart wrenching case. Emily's car had JJ, Tara, and Matt, they too were silent for the ride back, JJ kept flicking glances at Emily in the rear view mirror as she followed Rossi's SUV. They arrived back and the Captain, Benedict, who raised his eyebrows over the file he was reading. "Back so soon." He joked his jovial tone offset by both the gravelly rasp of his voice and the dark case the BAU had been called back for. Each member managed to either force a tight grin, or a nod, but there was no warmth behind their action.
Jayne showed the group to the now familiar set up of the conference room, Matt dropped the singular box of files he had on this murder onto the table. Tara began to pin up the photos taken at the scene while JJ stepped out of the room on the phone with Garcia checking for information. Emily sat despondently at the table, Reid flicked through the old case file that Garcia had sent through, and Luke was pinning these photos up on another evidence board beside Matt's fresh murder. Jayne entered the room dropping her phone from her ear. "There's been another." Rossi turned to Emily, Luke standing with him. "That's a quick cooling off period."
This scene was as brutal as the last, however, there was something a feeling, a familiarity, which Rossi couldn't quite put his finger on. Blood coated the floor, flecks were sprayed around the room, depicting the fight that he had had for his life. The young man that lay dead with his heart cut out, had floppy brown hair that had soft curls running throughout. He was tall, and lanky, arms and legs askew. His eyes once brown had silvery cloud covering the colour they once were. His heart had too been placed on a white cloth. The blacked blood made the already cramped living room feel smaller. "Name is Shawn Gold, twenty years old. Student at the university, studied theoretical physics. No priors. Lives with two room-mates, who were at class. Shelby Grey and Rose Middleton. You have to sign into this building as well the names used were Mr. and Mrs. Uriel." Rossi looked up at that, "They have a thing for angels." Jayne looked over commenting, "And a twisted sense of humour." Luke ran his fingers through his hair, "Could this be about revenge on one or all of us?" JJ, who had joined the group, sighed heavily. "Who could have this much rage? This much hate?" Rossi inhaled deeply, flicking through his notes. Luke paced around the small section of the floor that had been cleared by CSU. "We need to talk this out with the others." The trio headed to the waiting SUV while CSU began their own attack on the bloodied scene. As they left JJ made a parting remark, "Is case reminding you of anything, the first victim reminded everyone of Emily, even the techs mentioned it and this victim did he remind you of Spence in anyway?" there was a general consensus that this case reminded them of the pervious case that this appeared to be a copy of.
Life and Death fight in a never-ending battle,
Death appears to always win,
For they take without remorse,
But Life wins,
For they have Hope on their side.
