We stayed up till 3am coming up with different ideas for Sabrina's present. We had a total of 12 ideas that could make up a great gift that she'd cherish but we decided on 1. I'm the one who came up with the idea and Rowan adored it. There was no way we couldn't not do it.

However with the idea I had we could make different designs for it. We spent a while coming up with different things we could do and since Rowan was the specialist in that department, I was goofing around and coming up with random designs that were practically pointless. That was until I made one that caught both Row and I's attention. One that definitely had potential.

In the end we had 3 top designs and after a long discussion we ended up with my idea. Which is really surprising. I was really invested in what we were doing and Rowan said it was because it was for something I was really motivated for. Apparently Sabrina's birthday present meant a lot to me. I just want it to be perfect.

Upon further discussion we finally finished whatever we needed to do and now Rowan was in charge to get it done by the latest, tomorrow.

Now here I am, trying to stay awake whilst having lunch with the cute blonde. "Why are you drinking so much coffee?" She asks with a soft laugh as the waitress hands me another cup. "I thought you didn't really like it" she adds. I shrug and take a sip, "I'm in need of caffeine" I reply simply but she quirks a brow.

"You didn't sleep at all last night did you?" I shake my head "Why not? You're the one telling me it's not healthy to not sleep and here you are going against your own words. You're not a good role model Uriah" she says as she leans back in her chair and crosses her arms across her chest.

"I was busy" she doesn't seem pleased with my answer and instead purses her lips together. "Really? What's more important than sleep?" I can't really tell her that I was making her her present. I really want to gush about how awesome it's going to be however I'm not going to ruin the surprise.

"An important last minute project" I reply.

"You're not telling me something" she points out as she eyes me sceptically. "So you're a detective now?" She rolls her eyes in annoyance and glances away from me. "What you're mad at me now?" I question with an amused smile. "No" she grumbles although from the way she's avoiding eye contact and her body is faced away from me, not to mention the slight frown on her face it was more than obvious that she was mad or annoyed.

"Bri" I sigh reaching for her hand. "Its just a project that I needed to get done" I explain softly. She gnaws on her bottom lip and slowly shift her gaze back onto me. "I'm sorry" she mumbles "Its just we were being honest and open with each other ever since we met. When people hide things it's usually because something's wrong" she tucks a strand of hair behind her ear and gazes down. "I like hanging out with you because you always talk to me, you aren't afraid to say what's on your mind. I guess I have trust issues. I'm sorry" I squeeze her hand and lift my other to lift her chin so she can look at me.

"You have every right to feel that way. I don't blame you. If I were in your position I'd feel the exact same way. I know it's hard to ask someone to trust them, especially since we don't exactly really know each other but I can promise you that you can trust me okay? I'd never hurt you" she slowly nods "Okay" she mumbles making me smile.

"Thank you" she shoots me a soft smile.

The rest of our lunch goes by pretty quickly and once we're done I'm trying to think of a way I can drag the blonde to spend more time with me.

"Do I have to bring you back? Or do you still have time?" I question. "I have a little time" she smiles "What do you want to do?" She asks.

"How about some dessert?" She furrows her brows "Ice cream Sabrina" I elaborate making her eyes widen. "That sounds amazing" she gushes. I chuckle and climb into the car next to her. I start driving off to the best icecream shop whilst she pulls her long hair into a high ponytail.
