"Is it the camp that we saw while hiking?" asked Xiaoyu. "The one in the forest?"
"Navigating camp," said the android. "Yes that's the one. It is exactly 746.667 metres from here."
"Let's go," said Steve. "Let's catch him off guard."
They wore their hiking gear and went off to the camp in the forest. When they arrived, they realised that the camp had been cleared away!
"Urgh he's gotten away, again..." said Xiaoyu. "Wait, Panda can you smell him? Where's that note?"
Nina handed her the note and Xiaoyu gave it to Panda. Panda smelt it and started running in the opposite direction.
"Follow her," said Xiaoyu. They followed her and then Panda stopped in front of the resort that they were staying at.
"So he has come back for us," said Nina. "Alright, we'll teach him a lesson!"
They went to the lobby and found him trying to convince the receptionist to enter the place.
"Please let me enter Chalet No. 5," said the guy. "I want to leave something for the guest."
"I'm sorry mister," said the receptionist. "That's off limits. If you don't leave now, I'll have to call security."
They hid beside the lobby hut and waited for him to come out. When he walked out, Nina kicked him from the back. They others started to fight too and cornered him.
"What? Oh my gosh! Alisa?" he said. "You're alive!"
"Huh?" said Alisa, surprised. "Who are you and how do you know who I am? Do I know you?"
The others were surprised too. The man took this as an opportunity and ran out and sped off in a motorcycle.
"Quick get the car!" said Nina. "There's something very familiar about him, but I can't quite remember why."
They all jumped into their respective rented cars and sped out of the resort. They saw him at a distance and he was speeding. He sped at the yellow light of the traffic light. The light turned red exactly right before they could cross it. They wanted to but then there were a lot of cars from the other junction so it was a very dangerous risk. They didn't want to put their life in danger just to chase the guy so they returned. They went back to their chalet. They decided to have a simple dinner before bed. It was rather late too.
"Oh my this was the longest day of my life," said Shasha. "It was tiring too."
The next day, they woke up a little late. They missed the resort breakfast and had to eat their own breakfast. They went to the hotel cafe and had some tasty waffles and chocolate milk. They decided to stay in the chalet and relax. They all gathered in Nina's chalet and played games. They were trying hard to relax but they just can't. It was still bugging them that the guy might still be lurking around. They felt comforted to have many people around them. For lunch, they went to the resort restaurant and had a meal there. The food served was very good.
They went out for ice cream too. The day went on uneventful. They didn't find a trace of the guy. Dinner time came, and they decided to have dinner at the resort steakhouse. It was tasty and they kinda forgot about the mysterious guy. It wasn't very late so they decided to have a card game in Nina's chalet. They felt sleepy and decided to call it a night. Nina and Anna were rolling around in bed when suddenly the air conditioner stopped.
"Huh?" said Nina, shocked. "Why did the air conditioner suddenly stop?"
"I don't know," said Anna, sitting up in her bed. "Wait let me switch the light on." Anna flicked the light switch and found that the light wasn't working.
"Umm, Nina?" said Anna. "There's no electricity in our room."
"Let's check the others," said Nina and just as she said that, Steve started to knock their bedroom door. "Mom? Auntie? Are you two awake?"
Nina used the torch light of her phone to guide her way to the door. She found that everyone was awake and that the whole chalet was in total darkness.
"Is it only our chalet or the whole resort?" asked Nina. "Let's check out."
She went out and saw that the other chalets still had light.
"Let's go check the fuse box," said Anna. "Maybe it was a loose wire? Or maybe is someone playing a prank?"
"Yeah like what all of you did to me the first night we were here?" said Shasha.
They all walked around and groped about for the fuse box. It was outside. So they stumbled their way outside and started to look for the fuse box. It was pitch black and all they could see was darkness. They found the fuse box and turned the electricity back on. The chalet became bright once again.
"Wonder who played that prank," said Anna. "Could it be that mysterious guy?"
"I don't know," said Nina. "Maybe him. Or maybe it's much more serious than that?"
They decided to go back to sleep. And just when they were entering their bedroom, the whole house was in total darkness again.
"Who's doing this?" asked Shasha. "And why?"
They turned the electricity back on. This time, they checked if any of their appliances were the cause of the electricity to trip. But they found that it was none of their appliances. Everything was fine. It was someone playing a prank on them.
They were about to sleep again when suddenly the electricity turned off again. They were so done and wanted to sleep without electricity. Then suddenly, there was a loud noise from their backyard. They went to open it and there were a show of fireworks there.
"Is this some kind of practical joke?" asked Nina. "Or is today a special festival?"
It clearly wasn't a festival because the fireworks were only at their backyard. Their friends from the other chalet came out to look too. They ran towards the noise and towards their chalet. Soon, the whole group was there. Then a message appeared in the fireworks. It said something shocking.
