Yakushima Plans Part Twelve: The Party

They went back to their chalets and I waited for them. They arrived like five minutes later, and I hid in the kitchen for the surprise. Shasha looked kinda superseded and I can hear her from the kitchen.
"Why have the guards checked in for us?" asked Shasha. "Aren't we supposed to do it ourselves?"
"Yeah but it was a special request from Jin," said Anna, trying to cover up. "Jin made them do it."
"Is Jin that special?" asked Shasha, still confused. "Like I know he's a CEO, but still?"
"Let's just get in," said Nina. "Come in, you guys..."
She opened the door and came in. Shasha came in too, and was surprised to see the lights on. I quietly slipped behind her to give her a surprise.
"Who turned on the lights?" asked Shasha.
"Surprise!" I shouted behind her, and that caused her to jump and turn around.
"Huh Mommy?" said Shasha. "How did you get here? When did you get here?"
"I came here yesterday," I said. "I'm the one who checked in."
"Oh so that's why we didn't have to go to the lobby," said Shasha, realising everything. "So that's why you didn't pick up your phone and what not?"
"Yes that's why," I said. "I came here yesterday. I saw the tournament too. I took some videos and sent it to our family. By the way, congratulations!"
"Thank you," said Shasha. "How come I didn't see you at the tournament?"
"I sat at the back," I said. "I didn't want you to know I was there."
"But why?" asked Shasha. "I would have been very happy."
"Yeah but I wanted it to be a surprise," I said. "So I came here right after the tournament."
"But how did you know we came here?" asked Shasha.
"Oh we told her about it," said Nina. "I found her number on your phone. It was easy to find since you called her every night."
"Oh yeah," said Shasha. "I was kinda sad that I couldn't celebrate my birthday without my mother, but now that's done. Thanks guys."
"Let's enjoy this holiday," I said. 'Where are the places of interest?"
Anna looked through a red notebook and was listing out the attractions here.
"We can have a picnic on the beach," said Steve. "It would be fun. And I have never had a picnic with my mom and aunt."
"Okay then let's," I said. "We'll cook something on the chalet stove."
"I've got a better idea," said Shasha. "How about a barbecue by the pool? It would be fun!"
"Hmm, we'll do it tomorrow," I said. "Now you go take a shower first."
Turns out, all this while, Nina didn't know what to call me. She knew my name, but I think she couldn't pronounce it properly...
"It's Sugie," I said. "Just call me that."
Shasha went off to take a bath. It was almost night at this point. And she felt kinda tired out by the long journey. Well, the journey wasn't that long...
As soon as Shasha entered our bedroom with her luggage, we scrambled to our rooms. I quietly got into our room and took out the dress I bought for her and for me earlier. I put the nice dress in a bag with the accessories and went into Nina and Anna's room, which is the middle room, and quickly changed. Shasha took a very long bath, I'm guessing it's because of the jacuzzi. The sisters and Steve quickly took their showers in the other bathrooms. Soon, we were all changed into our party clothes and Anna and me ran to the chalet next to ours, which was a Jun, Amber, Asuka and Lili's chalet, while Nina and Steve went to the other chalet, which was where the Alisas, Xiaoyu and her panda lived. The girls from the other chalets brought a huge birthday cake to the backyard while I helped Anna to park somewhere else, as it was getting dark. At last we all went to the backyard and waited there. Nina and Steve were waiting in front of the chalet, where they could see Shasha leaving the bedroom. They turned off the power, except for the outdoor backyard lights, before running to the backyard.
We heard that Shasha was calling out our names. Xiaoyu and the android Alisa started giggling but Jun and Amber quickly shushed them. Lili was taking photos of herself because she thought she looked good in the dim lighting. Asuka quickly snatched her phone away and motioned her to keep quite.
"Give it back!" exclaimed Lili and everyone shushed her at the same time. Lili whispered an apology. "Oops sorry about that..."
Asuka handed the phone back to her and asked her to put it away. There came footsteps from the deck, and once Shasha came to view, we all shouted happy birthday at the same time.
"Surprise!" shouted all of us. "Happy Belated Birthday!"
Shasha was so surprised that she fell over. She was surprised to see everyone here and was even more surprised to see the birthday cake.
"Huh?" asked Shasha, confused. "When did you guys get here? No wonder there were so many cars outside near the other chalets."
"Oh so you actually saw them," said Xiaoyu. "Anyway, Happy Belated Birthday! We organised this party for you!"
"And left me in the pitch dark with no electricity," said Shasha with a laugh. "I still don't get how you switched it off exactly when I left the room."
We explained to her what happened while she was still bathing.
"Here go put this dress on," I said, giving her the bag. "We'll switch the electricity back on."
"Okay I will," said Shasha while taking the bag. "Wow what a pretty dress!"
So that's what happened. She went back in while the sisters switched the electricity back on. She came back out in a few minutes and she looked great in that dress. She's finally eighteen now. Well, technically she turned eighteen yesterday...
So we had a good party, played card games and had lots of fun.
After everyone had gone back to their chalets, we just sat around and chatted. Anna was swiping through her phone, when she suddenly exclaimed.
"Look at this!" said Anna, showing her phone to everyone. It was a picture of Lee Chaolan, celebrating his birthday with three guys that had pointy hair. Two of them looked alike and had black pointed hair at the back. One had some fringe while other didn't. The third had sandy brown hair that looked like the fins of a shark, with a few hits of light hair , surrounded by Combots. "Look at Lee! He's celebrating his 50th birthday!"
"Who are those guys with the sharp hair?" I asked. "They look alike? Are they brothers? Who's the third one? He kinda looks alike too, but with blue eyes and brown hair."
At once everyone started laughing, even Shasha. They soon recovered and explained.
"That's Jin and Kazuya," said Nina. "The one with the fringe is Jin while the other is his father, Kazuya. Yeah Kazuya does look like Jin's brother, doesn't he..."
"Yeah and the third one is Lars," said Anna. "He's Kazuya's half brother. He's half Swedish and half Japanese. He's young too, closer to Jin's age."
"Oh okay," I said. "But what's with the hair? Is it even possible to have hair like that?"
"We have no idea too," said Steve. "I once tried it when I was alone, but I couldn't achieve it..."
"That hair is still fine," said Nina. "You should've seen Heihachi. Wait, I think I have a picture of him here."
