After last night I was so confused, so mad. I didn't know what to think, or who to believe. Could Saiyr be a prophet? Could doughboy be lying? What did he mean that his father wanted Saiyr and doughboy to be married? The questions were never ending. "You really think Saiyr is a prophet?" Rico asked as he handed me a corona. "I don't know." I sighed as I rubbed my head, staring across the street. I stayed up all night, watching saiyr's home to see if he would show up but he never did. He's planning something, I know he is. "You think Saiyr is with him and is setting you up?" Juan asked. I shook my head, "I don't think she is, I genuinely feel like she didn't know she was a prophet." I said, "by blood anyways." he nodded. "The only person who really has the answer to everything is Tasha." The moment I brung Saiyr home and we told her what happen, she was acting weird and she had this look on her face that made me suspicious of her. "I'm going to talk to her now." I stood up and made my way across the street before anyone could process what I just said.
I knocked on the door, a couple seconds past before someone opened it, "Oscar." Tasha smiled awkwardly, I squinted my eyes at her. "What are you doing here?" She asked. "We need to talk." I simply answered. She nodded slowly, "come in." I stepped inside as she closed the door behind me. "Where's Saiyr." I asked. "She's in her room, asleep." Tasha answered as she took a seat on her couch. I nodded as I sat down, "what's going on?" I said. "What do you mean Oscar?" She smiled awkwardly, I raised an eyebrow at her. She was definitely hiding something. "Tasha if you don't tell me what's going on, then I won't be able to protect saiyr." She sighed. "When I was young, I met a man, his name was Aaron and he was a prophet." She started. "At first I was reluctant to talk to him because I mean he was a prophet and everyone knew prophet$ were no good, just like today they aren't any good." "But it was something about this one prophet in particular, he wasn't like the rest of them. He didn't go around terrorizing people like the others did, he was kind and sweet." Tasha smiled as she fell into a little daze.
"He would do these small little things that would make me smile, like bringing me flowers every time we hung out," "he was always there for me when I felt I had no one. I mean being in different foster homes a lot, I didn't have anyone." "Long story short, we fell in love, I found out I was pregnant with Saiyr and it was like our whole life changed, but things went bad after we had Saiyr, Derrick- doughboy's dad and Aaron , got into it a lot. Especially when Derrick became leader, he started to get a big head, he was hotheaded and everything always had to go his way or no way. He wanted to go around terrorizing people, murdering them, robbing them. He was relentless and he wanted the rest of the prophet$ to be like that to, but Aaron didn't want any part of it." "Then Derrick came up with this crazy idea that when doughboy and Saiyr get older, we should arrange them to marry eachother for some reason, we never tried to find out why, we just told him no. But he wouldn't take it for an answer." "They fought a lot over that, Derrick always threatened Aaron that he would kill Saiyr and I if he didn't do as he said he was controlling and was letting power get to his head. Aaron didn't want to be apart of the gang anymore, when he realized no matter what his family would be in jeopardy because he was part of it and he knew leaving the gang wouldn't be an option." "So, we came up with a plan to leave California, a good friend of ours Monty- monse's father. He helped us leave, and we got plane tickets to detroit. Aaron promised me that the gang life was over for him, and he left it in his past. We went on to live a normal life, he became a mechanic and I became a doctor. We thought it was over but it wasn't." Tasha Sighed. "Derrick found out we stayed in Detroit and he sent out people to find us, that's all I know before my husband went missing." I watched as Tasha sniffled. I felt for her, being with a man who's apart of the gang life isn't easy.
"I guess doughboy is finishing what his father planned to do before he died and that's to marry saiyr." "He's gonna do whatever it takes to get her, he's just as relentless as his father. Please, Oscar. You can't let him take my baby." She said as she broke down. "If I knew this was gonna happen, I would have never brought her here." she cried. "It seems like she's always gonna be in danger." "Hey," I said as I kneeled in front of her. "I'm not gonna let him take her, I'm gonna do everything to protect her. As long as I'm alive nothings gonna happen to her." I said and she nodded. "Thank you Oscar." She pulled me into a hug and I nodded with a small smile. "I'm glad my baby has you in her life." Hearing that made my heart warm. I smiled wide "There's something i wanna ask you." I said, she pulled away and stared at me curiously. "What is it?"

"Thanks for bringing me out here." Saiyr smiled at me. I loved that smile. Especially when I'm the reason behind it. I smiled to, "it's been awhile since we've been to our favorite spot, huh?" I stared at the ocean, watching the waves crash against the shore. Why was that so satisfying to watch? "Yeah it has." "We've been to busy to do our everyday midnight talks." I nodded, "seems like This one is well needed." I replied. "Very well needed." She sighed. I sighed to, wrapping an arm around her, pulling her close to me.
"You think doughboy is ever gonna stop until he gets what he wants?" She asked causing me to frown. I looked at her face, I could tell she was scared and that this was weighing on her mind heavy. "Honestly... he's never gonna stop. He's like his father, once he sets his mind on something it's like tunnel vision." I said. I watched as she took a deep breath, she was so anxious. "But I promise you..as long as I'm alive, he'll never come near you." I said as I grabbed her face forcing her to look at me. "I'm gonna do everything in my power to protect you, mi Angelita." I watched as her frown turned into a smile. I took off my chain and her eyes got wide as I placed it around her neck. "Oscar." She said as she looked up at me. "You're giving me your dads chain I-" "but why? this chain.. it means so much to you." "It does." I nodded. "But you mean so much to me to." I smiled at her, she smiled back. "As long as your wearing this chain you'll always be protected." She looked down at the cross, twirling it around in her small hands. "Are you claiming me?" She asked and I shook my head, "No. I'm asking you." I said. "I can't promise that being with me will keep you safe, if anything you're more likely to be in danger all the time, being with a gang leader- my enemies are always gonna be after you because they know that's the only way to get to me but
Saiyr," I paused as I grabbed her hands. "I'll always do whatever I can to protect you." I was willing to do whatever for her, I was tired of holding back just because I was scared to be with her. She simply smiled, placing her hand on my cheek as she rubbed it with her thumb. "I'll always be in danger Oscar just because I have prophet blood in me, I'm willing to take the risk of being lady spooky." She chuckled at the last part. "I'm willing to except everything that comes with you, the good and the bad." She kissed my cheek, I blushed hard. "I love you. You know that?" I said and she smiled. " I love you to." She pressed her lips with mine and I kissed her back. I don't know what it was about this kiss but it was different than any of our other kisses. But I liked it. So much. Saiyr is mine. You hear that? SAIYR IS MINE. I was so happy right now, words couldn't explain.-
