I hate this. Blacking out then waking back up in an unknown location. My body awakened before my eyes had the chance to open though. Warmth embraced me like a lover and everthing was tingling. A hand pushed hair away from my forehead, lips brushing where hot fingertips had been. I reveled in the sensations that followed, finding it hard to keep still. The person began rocking, lulling me to sleep, but before I could fall in deep a growl rumbled from their chest. My eyes snapped open in alarm, head snapping to the side.
"Mate!" A large man snarled, stocking towards me where I was sprawled across the tall, lean man with the sandy blonde hair. My face was pressed into his chest- or rather the eight pack he was sporting. I looked up into his eyes and I sworn I could feel the heat in those fiery orange eyes and what it meant scared me. Beloved. He was my Beloved. This gorgeous male with warm ivory skin, full lips, a jawline that could rival the sharpest of knives, and those eyes of his...was my Beloved. Then it hit me. The blood. The visions. That was him. My eyes drifted to the smooth skin of his neck. I had drank his blood in human form and wasn't repulsed like normal. I actually licked my lips at the thought. He growled which made me look back into his eyes. There was more red swirling around than orange, causing a thrill to run up my spine as he grew even hotter.
I was suddenly ripped away from his arms, and held tight by new ones. It was the man that had been stomping towards us. There was power radiating from him, making me almost want to bow my head in submission. Almost. He had some kind of shifter blood apparently.
"Let me go," I snarled through gritted teeth while trying to reach for my Beloved. He stood from the couch we had been occupying, but the look on his face had me retracting my hand with a cringe. Rage. Rage like I had never seen was reflected in his eyes- his now bright eyes of blue flames.
"Put. My. Flamour. Down. Now!" His voice was low and guttural, unwordly in its intensity. I was thankful and confused at the same time. What was a Flamour?
The man still holding me tight gave a menacing chuckled, his breath crawling over my shoulders. I shivered. "Your Flamour huh? I find that funny when she's my Mate," he taunted, confusing me further.
I have vampire DNA which means it's impossible for me to be mated to a wolf unless they're a...
My Beloved's whole body egnitted into blue flames. I was thrown to the ground as he shot his fire at the man holding me. The man covered me with his body, his back no doubt taking the brunt of the heat. I cried out, not wanting him to get hurt. He raised his head from my shoulder and looked me in the eye. One lone tear slipped from our right eyes in unison, the tradition for the meeting of the mates.
"June," he sighed, my name like a prayer on his lips.
My brain didn't know his name, but my heart did. "Marcus," I said with a slight smile. The world stopped for a second when he returned it, the beat of my heart most likely matching his. Wild and erratic.
For when your eyes connect on that fateful day your life's purpose is restored, you shall cry your tear in unison. And for what your brain lacks, your heart will make up. You shall call them by their name. And for when it is set in place, and your heart beats in sync, a smile from your other half shall stop the hands of time. Know that this is forever.
The words that had seemed so insignificant when I read them before became my reality. Marcus was truly a masterpiece of gorgeous, chocolate skin. His dark brown, almost black eyes were framed by dark lashes and acommpained by perfectly shaped, thick eyebrows. He looked somewhat soft, but the thick black bread tracing his jawline and connecting above his kissable lips, gave him a manly look. Marcus's sharply cut, kinky hair sat neatly on his head. This is a man. This is a Lycan and, as well as two others, is my Beloved.
