I was convinced that Marcus was secretly a boa constrictor. I awoke to find his legs entangled with mine, one in between them and the other over. His arms encircled me, one under and the other like steel around my stomach. He was hunched over me on his side, my significantly smaller frame curled into him.
Much to my horror, I couldn't move and my body had become stiff overnight. "Marcus," I whisper yelled. No response. "Marcus," I tried again, louder. All I got was a rumbling snore. I huffed in annoyance, but couldn't help chuckling at his possesiveness. Calling his name wouldn't work, he slept like the dead.
I tried to think about what to do, but I was at a loss. After squirming and wiggling for what felt like an hour though, I finally manage to slip out of his arms. Sliding off the side of the bed slowly, I tip toe to the bathroom. When I managed to close the door without him leaping at me, I did a little victory dance. I didn't realize I was smiling a dreamy smile until I felt the pain in my cheeks. They were still practically strangers, but yet....
Brushing off the lightness in my heart, I inspect myself in the mirror only to cringe back. Thank the Sun, Moon, and Stars he hadn't woken up to see me like this. My bun had been undone, which was strange, and formed a nest that a family of birds could proudly call home; aunts and uncles included. Crust was piled in the corner of my eyes, a trail of drool staining my chin. I didn't even bother doing a breath check; I'm not sure I'd survive that kind of torture.
After digging around I found a wash cloth, unopened toothbrush, comb, and shampoo then got to work on thoroughly cleaning myself.

Saying that I smelled like a bottle of cologne was an understatement. I had tried to look for a regular bar of soap, but even the hand wash carried the same Oakmoss, Italian Bergamot, and Pine Needle scent. It didn't smell bad by any means but it would be a pain in the ass for my vampire's heightened sense of smell. In human form, it was...hot.
Pushing dripping strands of curly hair out of my face, I hesitantly began twisting the knob of the bathroom door.
You have a towel on, Relax June. Besides, he's our beloved. Just be cool.
"Just be cool," I scoffed. Here is no being cool when a six-foot-five-sex-on-a-stick was seeing you damn near naked. Maybe I would get lucky and he wasn't-
"June? I have some clothes for you. They're Ric's because he's the smallest but I made sure the pants have drawl strings just in case. I also," he coughed awkwardly, "got you a of pack boxers, but unfortunately we don't have any bras laying around," the man in question said from the other side of the door. I could practically see his blush. Even for a guy his size, Marcus was so adorable.
I opened the door to discover that he was indeed blushing. When he caught on to my knowing grin, he turned his head away but not before I saw the twitch of his lips upwards. "Here." Marcus practically shoved the clothes at me. I giggle like a little girl.
"Thank you Marcus. And don't worry about a bra, I don't have much to put in one anyway." As soon as the words left my mouth I cringed, the clothes in my hands the only thing stopping me from covering my mouth like I could shove the words back in.
His head snapped back to me as mine turned away this time. "Well...umm... now that I've embarrassed myself I'd b-better get-" I tried to hurriedly close the door but Marcus wasn't having it. Not only did he stop the door from closing, but he also stepped in. "What are you-"
Quicker than I could catch, he threw the clothes in my hands to the side and had me pressed against the door. My breathing became ragged, heart wildly thumping in my chest. His body was flesh against mine, the only thing keeping my ever slipping towel from fully exposing me.
Marcus rested one hand on my hip, the other behind my head to rest against the wooden door. I just looked up into his dark, fudge orbs. "I don't care what can fit where. Your heart," he dragged his hand up to rest on my heart, "your mind," he moved it to touch my temple, "and your body," a feather light touch brushed against my breast, "was made for us and vise versa; we are made for you. Never, ever forget that June or I might just have to....demonstrate." The last part was said lowly into my ear and I shivered in delight. What was a light touch, turned into a teasing squeeze. We both groaned, feeling my nipple pebble.
Out of nowhere, we began stumbling backwards, seeing as the door behind us opened. I screamed in surprise- or rather at the impending pain of being crushed under Marcus's weight. It never happened because I was suddenly upright and back in the bathroom. The door was slammed closed by a shadowy figure.
All I could do was blink in surprise before I heard none other than Kelen.
"I told you to control yourself, Marcus...no, I don't care...we have to be careful...just go downstairs." There was a growl followed by thundering footsteps. A deep frown tugged my lips downwards.
"June, I..." Kelen sighed heavily, "just get dressed and head downstairs for breakfast."
And with that, he left.
