Chocolate. Marcus's blood tasted like chocolate.
Nothing else mattered but his blood. I hasn't realized that I had gone so long without feeding but now....drinking from a random blood bag make my stomach churn.
I moaned when more blood hit my tongue. Sucking at his neck greedily, I knew I could never drain him nor fully sate my appetite. I was addicted; couldn't make myself stop. Voices drifted around us and I felt hands tugging at me, but I wasn't really conscious. The vampire craved more blood. The human craved more friction to relieve the throbbing need between her thighs.
Marcus dropped to his knees, pulling me closer. "More," he demanded on a low groan.
I felt so powerful. So very powerful. This dominating, somewhat brooding man, was reduced to jelly because of me. Marcus laid back, allowing me to straddle him. His hands went to my hips, guiding me along his length. A steady rumbling within his chest traveled through me in waves. Was he purring? Do Lycans even purr?
I felt myself pull back, licking the remained blood away, then kissing my mark.
"I thought you were innocent," Marcus groaned, a shudder rocking his body. The feel of him so helpless beneath me....
"I am," I whispered. "You just drive me crazy."
Marcus scoffed. "Touche."
As our lips collided, my control slipped and I knew I only had it to begin with because of the mark. Now it was all him. And I loved it. Just as Marcus flipped us over, gripping my shirt to no doubt rip it off my body, a throat cleared loudly. We snapped our heads to the left, confronted with the other guys.
Casbian was smirking, Clent was literally smoking with....arousal, Alaric looked curious and couldn't keep still, but Kelen....he was furious. Stomping over to us, he got in Marcus's face.
"What did I tell you," he snarled. "It's too fucking soon."
"I don't give a damn what you said, Kelen. She's my mate and if she wants to mark me then who am I to stop her," Marcus shot back, standing up. His muscles bulged, chest puffing out. I knew his eyes were no doubt blowing red.
"I call the shots. I make the rules. And I do it to protect this family, including her now---"
"And you think I'll just roll over and follow your every word, huh? I'm the fucking Alph---"
"Alpha? Oh so you wanna be Alpha now big guy?" Kelen mocked with a dry laugh. Marcus let out a loud growl that seemed to shake the ground. He was about to shift. Seeing this, Kelen became to call on his shadows.
"ENOUGH!" I demanded, getting to my feet and pushing them apart. Everything grew silent. And I took the chance to collect my thoughts.
"Let's start with you Casbian. Why were you fighting my brother?"
Casbian stepped forward, running his hands through his already unruly hair. Judging by his expression, he still wasn't over whatever it was. "We were waiting for you to make breakfast when he came waltzing into the kitchen."
"And...." I prodded.
"I said that he wasn't welcomed to eat with us."
Clent chuckled, then covered it up with a cough. I narrowed my eyes at him, knowing there was more to the story than that.
"What did he really say, Alaric?" My sweet boy looked over at Casbian, no doubt wondering if he should snitch. When his eyes shifted back to me, I gave his a small smile of encouragement.
"H-he said th-that the dogs belong outside."
I rolled my eyes at that. Of course it would be Casbian to start some drama. "Keep your comments to yourself next time Cas. Now what happened between them, Clent?" I asked gesturing to the men on either side of me. I knew that asking either of them would lead to another cat fight.
