Miitopia: A Ninja's Path

Hallucinations

As we walk into the Great Pyramid top floor, we're met with a surprise. We all are suddenly slashed at multiple times with something then fall to the ground.

"What was that?" Austin asked, looking around.

"Something just full out attacked us. But who?" Adam said.

"I think I found the culprit." I say.

There was a figure in the distance. Their eyes were a deep purple, and their robes were midnight black, and they had a staff, with a glowing bulb on top of it.

"Hello, travelers. I see you've survived my challenge." they say in a distorted voice.

"Who on earth are you?" Austin questions.

"I am the Dark Sage." they say.

"You must be here to stop us from rescuing the royal family." I growl.

"Very much right, ShadowStorm."

"Who?" I ask, confused.

The dark sage laughs and then regains his seriousness.

"That's cute. You don't know your better half? Well if Shadowstorm is not here, I guess my work here is done!" he yells. He then blasts all of us with purple energy and then teleports away.

"Everyone alright?" Adam asked.

Me and Austin both says we were, and then we went down the pyramid to the nearby village.

But the village was in ruins. People were trapped, some unconscious, and others sitting down.

"Adam! Lift the debris that the people are under! Austin, try to wake up the unconscious people." I order. They both nod and head over in different directions.

I look around for survivors and see a teddy bear on the ground. I kneel down and pick it up, but I hear a whimper. I look to my left and see a little girl under some ruins. I walk over to her, and she backs up further into the debris.

"It's ok. Here, is this yours?" I ask, holding out the bear. She comes out and grabs it, and thanks me, then gives me a small silver coin.

After we finish up and round up the survivors, we question them.

"Do any of you have any idea who destroyed your village?" I ask.

"There was a dark figure. They looked similar to the you, Ninja." one said.

"A doppelgänger?"

"No, they had a sword, red horns, and they were completely black. Midnight black. Also wings. Red and black."

We thank the villagers and head further into the desert.

We keep walking but eventually Adam and Austin get blasted with red energy.

They fell unconscious, and I was about to wake them when everything around me turned black. The sky, the ground, the landscape, everything.

A figure with red eyes and a scary looking sword in a scabbard appeared in front of me, with a mouth of baring white teeth.

"So, you are the ninja I've heard so much about."

"How would you know of me? I only arrived here an hour ago."

"Word spreads fast in my world."

"So you're a hallucination. I must be going crazy."

"Anything but that. Didn't you hear what the Dark Sage said? Do you remember what he called you?"

"So you're Shadowstorm?" I ask.

"Bravo. I am your better half. I am forever in your mind and body as long as you are in my world. If you are suffering too much pain or something or other, I will take over, and you and I will trade places."

"Not without my permission. It's exactly the situation from a movie back on my planet." I growl.

"Venom. Released in October 2018." Shadowstorm sighed, rolling his red eyes

"How did you-?"

"I am a part of your mind, remember? I know everything about you."

"Save it. I release you. I'll have you in control when I need you."

"Very well. Goodbye for now, Isaac." he says, then everything wraps back to Neksdor.

I'm on the ground, and Adam and Austin are leaning over me.

"Isaac? You alright? You fainted and started mumbling." Adam said.

"Yeah, Yeah, I'm fine. Hallucinations, that's all." I say, walking ahead.

All of a sudden I get a massive headache and a high picture ringing in my ears.

"Hallucination? I am much more than that! Give me control!" Shadowstorm says in my head.

"No!" I yell.

Austin and Adam looked confused, but I tell them to keep walking.

We arrive in a forest looking place, and there's a lot of stuff around us. Giant leaves, tomato looking plants, and a lot of other weird things.

"What the heck is this place?" I ask, gazing.

"This is the Realm of the Fey. Also known as the Land of the Elves. Me and Adam have been here before." Austin says, smiling.

I hear screaming, then a huge explosion shakes the ground.

"What on earth was that?!" I yell.

"I don't know, but it came from the Elven Retreat!" Adam said.

We start moving, and we find the Elven Retreat in ruins, just like Neksdor.

We look around, and we don't see any survivors. Maybe they fled.

I advance forward, but three arrows come flying at me and the others, and we're each impaled.

They must have been doused with some kind of sedative, because we passed out on the ground.

I awoke again in a small tent that looked like the inside of a flower pod.

When I got up and looked around, the whole thing was a flower pod.

I go outside and look around when I discover my Katanas are gone.

"Frick. That's bad. Whatever knocked me out must have not liked swords."

"We prefer bows, actually, darling." said a high voice.

I turn around and see an elf lady about as tall as me, and she's dressed in purple, and has a bow strapped to her back.

"Good morning, traveler. I am Andrea, the Eldest Fab Fairy. And these are my sisters, Jade and Emma."

Two more elves appear, and they're shorter than the eldest. The middle one has orange clothes, hair, and has a shy smile on her face.

The shortest one has green clothes, yellow hair and looks sassy.

"You can't barge into our fine town like that, you pinhead!" the youngest one yells.

"Jade, darling, shush. That is no way to welcome visitors. Sorry about that, traveler. What is your name?" Andrea asked.

"Isaac. I was just passing through. Sorry about the appearance." I say.

"It's fine, traveler. Let us show you a little something we found." Andrea says, gesturing me to follow her.

She leads me into another tent, and laying on one of the beds, I find a shocking sight...
