Looking up at the large police precinct, you adjusted your backpack on your shoulder and took a deep breath, heading inside, you looked around unsurely to find a female cop flicking through a file. She was smartly dressed, looking eager to please.
Shrugging to yourself, you padded over and swallowed a little.
"E..excuse me officer?"
"How can I help?" She beamed.
"I was looking for a detective Peralta, I was wondering if you knew where I could find him?"
"He's out right now, but I can take you to his desk. Also, what's your name?"
"You shouldn't tell strangers your name." You mused.
Following her, you couldn't help but snicker a little at her confused expression before it morphed into understanding.
"I'm a police officer. Amy Santiago."
"(Y/N) (L/N)." You replied.
You both stepped into the elevator and you let Amy press the button since she knew what floor to go on.
"How come you're looking for Peralta? There's plenty other officers you can talk to if you need help."
"I don't need help, I just need to talk to him."
"Can I ask what about?"
"Personal, Sorry."
She nodded again and glanced at you in curiosity, but didn't ask any more questions.
Once the elevator stopped, she led you to a cluttered desk and pulled a chair for you.
"I'll let him know you're here when he gets back." She smiled.
"Thanks."
Putting your headphones on, you turned your attention to your phone and begun to play some random game as you waited, which thankfully wasn't long, about 10 minutes and a male sat in front of you. Pulling your headphones down you looked him up and down. Another man stood behind him.
"Are you Roger Peralta?"
"No, that's my dad. I'm Jake Peralta." He furrowed his brow.
"Oh..."
"Why are you looking for my dad?" He asked.
"Uhm... your dad is my dad too..."
Jake seemed to take a minute to process this new information but then his face instantly lit up.
"I have a sister?!"
You laughed a little and rubbed the back of your head.
"Looks like it. Names (Y/N), (Y/N) (L/N)." You beamed.
"Wait! How do we know you aren't lying." He other man questioned.
"Charles She can't be lying!" Jake pouted.
"I don't know best friend, seems suspicious. Where's your proof, (Y/N), if that's even your name..."
"Hold on." You rolled your eyes.
Placing your bag on your lap, you begun to rummage through it until you found a folder, pulling the folder out you flicked through it until you found what you wanted. Carefully takin it out, you handed it over with a grin.
"Official Birth Certificate."
Jake and Charlie's looked over to and Jake jumped up fist pumping the air.
"It's legit!" He cheered.
Jake pulled you up and jumped onto his desk.
"GUYS I HAVE A SISTER!!" He yelled.
"Wait, What?" An monotone Voice asked.
A Latino woman with curly hair came over and crossed her arms as she glanced between the pair of you.
"I don't see it."
"Really?" Jake asked.
Jumping down, he stood next to you with a grin as more people crowded around the pair of you. Stuffing your hands in your pocket you leant back a little on the desk.
"She looks way more badass." Rosa smirked.
"You're my new favourite." You grinned.
"ROSA DONT STEAL MY SISTER!" Jake cried.
After getting to know them all, beside captain holt who was too busy, you turned to see it dark outside and cursed under your breath.
"What's wrong?" Amy asked worried.
"I forgot to book a hotel, I've got no where to stay."
"Actually that reminds me, why are you all the way here?" Jake questioned.
"I'd rather not talk about if you don't mind..." you muttered.
"Okay, well, how about you stay with me?!"
"Really?!" You beamed.
"We'll eat pizza and watch movies!"
"Die hard!" You grinned.
"BEST MOVIE EVER!" He yelled.
Cheering your ran to the elevator, shortly followed by Jake, you couldn't wait to know your older brother more
