Gerard's P.O.V.

I walked into the art class, first in as usual. The class itself wasn't usually that bad, there were only 15 other people and none of them bothered me. The teacher was writing something on the board and I dropped my bag on the floor, sitting down, catching his attention.

"Oh, hi." He smiled softly. His messy black hair fell in his face and I had to admit he was kind of cute for a teacher.

"Hey." I muttered, not wanting to be rude. Everyone else started coming in, taking their seats. I was sat on my own, just like every lesson, whilst the other 15 students sat with their friends. The teacher seemed to notice, because he shot me a sad smile, before clearing his throat.

"Okay, I'm Mr. - well, it's written on the board." Mr. Green.
"And I know it's unusual, but this term we're gonna be working on a group project. Well, not really a group project, but, you're gonna be working in pairs."

"Sir, do we have to?" A girl, I didn't know the name of, groaned. Thinking about it, I didn't know the names of most of the students in my classes.

"Yes." Mr. Green laughed a little.
"I'm gonna let you choose your partners, because I don't want to be that teacher. Once you've got a partner, you can agree on a theme and you have to plan and create a piece of art based on that theme. It can be a painting or a sculpture, I don't care. Surprise me." The class erupted in murmurs as everyone tried to figure out who was partnering with who. I put my head down onto my arms, waiting to be paired with whoever was left. It didn't matter, I'd probably be doing all of the work anyway.

"Mind if I work with you?" My head shot up, looking at the boy stood next to me.

"Uh, no. I don't mind." I said quietly, confused as most people still didn't have partners.

"Rad." He dropped his bag next to mine and sat down. I didn't know his name, but I did know he was the crazy smart punk kid that usually kept to himself.
"You're really good in this class, I've seen your work. This is the only class I'm not so good at."

"Thanks." He rubbed the back of his neck and shot me a smile. Holy shit, his smile is so pretty.

"Yeah, well, I'm hoping working with you will help me improve." I nodded my head, kind of shocked. This stunningly attractive punk kid wanted to work with me, instead of making me do all of the work?
"What?"

"Nothing." I pulled out my sketchbook and opened it, grabbing a pencil and shading the edges of a drawing I had been working on. It was a graveyard, grim, I know, but late at night it was the most peaceful place and beautiful too.

"That's amazing." The punk kid whispered and on reflex, I snapped the book shut.
"Sorry, I didn't know it was private."

"It's not... people just don't really compliment it." I replied awkwardly.

"Oh, well, can I have a look?" I pushed the sketchbook towards him, internally screaming. No one ever looked at my drawings. Mikey didn't care enough, Ray was more musical than arty and I don't really talk to anyone else.
"Gerard, these are seriously good. I've never seen anything like it."

"Thanks." I replied, my face burning. I did not know how to take a compliment.

"Maybe we could go with the theme of horror? Base the project around darker colours and that sort of stuff?" I nodded my head, smiling slightly.
"Rad, well, I'm busy tonight, but you could come over to my place tomorrow after school and we can work on it? I know we've got a whole term, but I like to get things done and out of the way."

"I can do that, yeah." I nodded and Mr. Green came over to us.

"Hey boys, can I get your names and the theme you're working on?" He smiled.

"Frank Iero and Gerard Way. We're going for a horror based theme." Frank, I like that. It suits him.

"Wow. You guys seem to be the only ones who have got an idea. A bunch of girls want to do pink as a theme." Mr. Green laughed slightly.
"Thanks for being so organised."

"Of course, sir." Frank smiled and Mr. Green shook his head, before moving over to a grip of talking students.
I had a good feeling about working with Frank Iero.
