Gerard's P.O.V.
"Hey stranger." My head shot up at the voice, seeing Frank with a tired smile. I put my sketchbook and pencil down and he sat down, putting his head in my lap.
"Frank what are you doing here? It's almost 11PM." I moved some of his hair out of his face.
"I'm a creature of the night, Gee. I'm a vampire and this is a cemetery. What are you doing here?" I smiled a little at his stupid response and shrugged.
"You know what Ray said was wrong?""What?" I asked and he sat up.
"What Ray said about being tired of you calling and texting? When he snapped at you after the funeral?" He looked down at his hands that were covered with his fingerless skeleton gloves.
"You didn't text me, Gerard. I worried.""You worry too much." He looked at me with sad eyes and I sighed.
"I'm sorry, Frank. I really fucking am. I want to talk to you, but I've already relied on you for so much.""That's exactly why I'm here. I want you to be able to rely on me, Gerard. I love hearing you speak, you make the saddest things sound beautiful and I just want you to be happy. I want to sit there and listen to you rant and comfort you if you cry, because I really love you, Gerard." He took my hand.
"You're the strongest person I know, but you can't just bottle everything up. I'm always gonna be here for you to talk to, okay?""Thanks Frankie." I hugged him and we just stayed there for a short while.
"Honestly, the stuff Ray said kind of got to me. I know it shouldn't but it does and we've known each other since we were little kids and never had an argument. Then everything that happened with Mikey keeps coming back to me and I realised that if I had been paying attention none of it would have happened." I bit down on my trembling bottom lip.
"And I kind of thought you were mad at me.""What? Why?" He looked almost panicked.
"You're not very good at lying." I muttered.
"Even over the phone you're terrible at it.""I know, I'm sorry." Frank leaned against me with his head on my shoulder.
"I was just stressed over you not telling me what's wrong and as soon as I hung up I knew I shouldn't have.""I'm sorry for stressing you out and everything." I sighed and he took my hand.
"Me too. Want to start over?" He looked up at me with a small smile.
"I'm Frank Iero.""I'm Gerard Way." His smile was contagious.
"Cute name. I'm gonna call you Gee, it's cuter." I felt myself blushing.
"Tell me about yourself, Frankie." He laughed a little.
"Well, I'm 17, I like dogs and guitars. I play pretty well too. I love music and reading and I have this really attractive art partner. He's super talented and amazing. He's a bit of a loser, though." He grinned.
"Oh and I'm a vampire. What about you?""I'm 17 too, I'm not very good at guitar, but I love drawing and music. I'm also working with a loser in art, but he's really bad at it. However, he is the smartest person I've ever met. That's it, oh, and I'm very human." Frank stuck his tongue out at me.
"Hey, Gee?"
"Yeah?"
"Considering we've just met..." Frank laughed a little.
"Wanna be my boyfriend?""Yeah." I kissed his lips gently and he kissed back, pulling me closer and wrapping his arms around my neck. My arms went around his waist as I pulled him into my lap, before I broke the kiss, causing him to whine.
"Frankie, were in a cemetery. It just feels kind of wrong. Dead people are here.""I'm dead people, remember?" He pouted.
"Magic potion that makes me look alive?""Well I'm not a necrophiliac, so let's just go home. Okay?" Frank pulled a face, before getting up.
"I need to add the last bits to the painting and check on Mikey anyway.""Fine, I'll walk you home." He nudged me and I rolled my eyes, taking his hand and getting up from next to the mausoleum.
"Thanks, Pansy."
"You're welcome, loser."
