Gerard's P.O.V.
"I'll tell you, but you've got to keep it a secret. You can't tell anyone, okay?" I nodded my head.
Whatever this was it had to be serious.
But it's still Frank.
Frank, who I've kissed and shown things I could never show other people. Frank, who compliments my drawings and I trust completely."I'm a vampire." He said, sounding completely serious. I laughed a little, before covering my mouth.
"Honestly, I'd probably believe you more if you told me you're the Antichrist." I joked and he didn't even crack a smile.
"I'm not joking, Gerard." He said bluntly. That dark emotion from this morning returned to his eyes.
"I'm a vampire, my mom isn't even my mom, she's a witch who took me in when I was just a kid.""Come on, Frank, this isn't funny." I sighed.
"I get it, you don't want me to know, just say that.""I do want you to know. That's why I'm telling you." He shifted towards me on the couch and took my hand.
"Gerard, you've got to believe me.""Prove it." I said, not sure if he was joking anymore.
Vampires weren't real and witches weren't either."I could smell your blood this morning." He said almost shakily.
"I could hear the whole hushed conversation you had with Liam when I had just walked in the classroom, I heard most of what my mom was saying to you when I spoke to Jamia.""You're not proving anything." I said and he sighed, before standing up.
"I don't know what you want me to do." He muttered, pacing the room.
"Show me?" Frank stopped and looked at me as if he was trying to figure something out. Suddenly, he walked over and sat down in front of me on the table.
"Don't freak out? Please?" I nodded my head and he closed his eyes, taking a breath. When he opened his eyes again they were the same stunning shade of hazel and I was almost confused. He opened his mouth, two large canines pointing out. I didn't know how to react. This wasn't some horror fic we were forced to read in school and write essays about, this was real. This was Frank.
My boyfriend was a vampire and I wasn't supposed to freak out about this?
We've only known each other a week and were dating, but he's a vampire and my head was spinning.
"Gerard?""You're an actual vampire." I muttered.
"This doesn't make sense. You have a heartbeat and you don't look dead, but you drink blood and you are dead.""Yeah..." He closed his mouth, before opening it again and the fangs were gone.
"Holy shit." He chuckled awkwardly.
"Explain this, now.""Which part?" I ran my fingers through my hair.
"I'm really trying not to freak out, so starting from the beginning is probably smart." He nodded his head.
"Vampires can't have kids, because we're technically dead. My real mom was completely human and my real dad was never in the picture. When I was 2 years old she started dating this guy, he turned out to be a vampire, who was using her to get to me. He wanted a kid, so he turned me. I'm gonna keep ageing until I'm about 25, then I'll stop, but I'm not immortal. Vampires only live a few hundred years." I nodded my head.
"Anyway, my mom realised what was happening and brought me to Linda. They had been friends for years. The vampire killed my mom and Linda and Franklin took me in.""I don't know what to say." I muttered, looking at him. He had been through so much at such a young age.
"Linda makes a potion sort of thing that basically makes me seem alive, so that's a beating heart, body heat, normal complexion, that sort of stuff. Yes I do drink blood, animal blood, but it tastes like shit and I much prefer actual food." He shrugged.
"Like the pot she gave you earlier, it will stop the scarring, trust me, it works." He looked down at his hands then back up at me.
"Gee? Say something, please?""I don't hate you, I don't know why you thought I would." He seemed to let out a breath.
"None is that is your fault.""So we're okay?" He asked and I opened my arms. He practically jumped into my embrace and I smiled a little.
"Frankie as long as you don't bite me, then yeah." I chuckled.
"Needles are terrifying enough I don't want to be scared of fangs.""You're such a loser." He muttered.
"Yeah? You too."
