The rumour had spread, everyone know knew that Dally and I were dating. I was now known as 'Dally's girl', I guess I could get use to that.
The rumble was tonight, it was for Bob Sheldon. I always liked fighting, the excitement of it and everything, but this one I was scared. Rumours went around that Dally had killed Bob Sheldon and some of the Soc's still believed he did. I was scared that something bad was going to happen to him, I had this feeling. There was no weapons just skin on skin, which made me feel a bit better.

"Do you have to go to the rumble tonight?" I laid in Dally's arms, playing with the ring on his finger.
"Don't you know a rumble ain't a rumble without me" he chuckled as he played with my hair.
"Yeah but Dally promise me your gonna be safe" I looked up at him.
"Yeah, yeah I know Doll, stop worrying about me. I'll be fine" he looked down upon me.

We were at the Curtis house, everyone was bubbling with excitement, well except me of course.
Sodapop and Steve were arm wrestling, Darry was getting ready making himself look tuff, Two-bit watching Mickey Mouse and then there were PonyBoy and Johnny. They looked nervous but at the same time they were ready for a rumble. I was worried for PonyBoy and Johnny, they weren't like Dally or Sodapop who enjoyed fighting, they were different, more soft then the others.
"So tell me again why you guys have to go to this stupid rumble!" I walked back and forth, biting my nails from nervousness.
"Relax Y/n we'll be fine, it's not like anything we haven't done before" Sodapop spoke up.
"B-But what about PonyBoy, he's gonna get hurt" I looked over to Ponyboy.
"Hey Y/n I'm gonna be fine, I'll get one of the small ones" he said with his warm smile, I couldn't help but to give him a smile.
"See he's ready, now let's go!" Darry shouted as they all ran out the door in excitement. Darry did a somersault over the fence as Sodapop followed.
It was just me and Dally standing in the doorway. I fixed his shirt up with both of my hands on his collar, he moved his shoulder getting annoyed at me which made me laugh. I kissed him as he did the same. I pulled away as I stared up into his eyes.
"I'll fight for you doll" he said as a smile appeared on my face.
"That's why I love you Dallas Winston" my thoughts slipped out of my mouth, I had realised what I had just said and a instant regret washed over me as Dally's eyes lit up.
"I didn't mean that, wait I did I just-" before I could finish Dally kissed me, he pulled away not giving me time to react.
"I'll see ya later Doll" he ran out the door, catching up to the boys as he playfully tackled Johnny. I watched them leave, there precious faces fade away into the darkness of the night.
