I Won't Give Up

The next morning Gerard woke up with someone next to him.

So naturally, he flipped out.

"OH MY GOD WHO THE HELL ARE YOU AND WHY ARE YOU IN MY BED?!" he yelled, leaping out of the bed.

The person groaned and rolled over. "Gee...?"

Gerard stopped throwing pillows at the lump in his bed and squinted. "Frankie? Oh....hi" he said sheepishly.

Frank half smiled and sat up. Gerard climbed back into bed and Frank wrapped his arms around him.

"I'm sorry about Finn...." Gerard whispered.

"It was my fault. Let's just hope Mikey got him to hate me less. Well I hope so. Im meeting him for coffee soon..." Frank looked over at Gerard's skeleton wall clock.

Gerard hugged Frank tighter. "What if he forgives you, but still hates me?" he asks fearfully.

Frank smiled and ruffled Gerard's already messy hair. "I'm sure he won't. He's a nice guy...."

Gerard looked away. "But what if you see him, and realize that you don't love me. What if you still love Finn?"

Frank sighed and got up, leaving the room. He came back with Mikey's old acoustic guitar, Mikey following close behind. Mikey leant against the doorframe and crossed his arms, looking amused.

"Frank what-"

"Shush!" Frank placed the guitar on his knee and looked at Gerard, his eyes filled with warmth. "Now I realize my vocal talents aren't as advanced as some..." he winked at Gerard and continued. "But I felt like I have to get this out there...."

He leant over the guitar and started strumming. Then his voice filled the room, clear and filled with love.

As the last note faded, Frank leant forward and pressed his lips against Gerard's.

He pulled away and leant their foreheads together. "I love YOU, so your stuck with me. Deal with it" he said, his breath fluttering over Gerard's face.

Mikey smiled to himself and watched the scene before him. It made him happy to see his brother finally happy.

Frank wrapped his arms around Gerard and held him close. A tear slipped down Gerard's face.

Mikey had only seen his brother cry a few times. Those times had been in pain or despair.

Mikey finally saw his brother cry from pure happiness....
