" hurry up kaity, your going to be late for you first day. " my mom yelled from downstairs.
" fine by me." i said with a little more attitude than usual.
my parents made me move from california to minnesota.
probably the craziest decision they have ever made and dont get me wrong they make crazt desicions on a daily basis.
i walked down the stairs literally dragging my back pack behind me. she was waiting at the bottom of the stairs with my home lunch in her hands

i thought different. i was never really one of those girls that thought i was pretty but every guy in the universe thought differently.
i had on a pink dress and some white converse.
easy enought to blend , i thought.
i grabbed my lunch from her hand " thanks " i said in a slightly nicer tone.
my brother kalob who was normally the schools biggest player walked down the other staircase in our house.
" its about time." he grunted.
i just stuck my tongue out at him. we started walking towards the entry way of the house.
" dont forget i have a case today and so does your father so we wont be home until real late. "
see both my parents are high payed attorneys. they moved us to stillwater so they can still work in minneapolis.
" when are you ever home ? " i asked.
" kaity get back - "
" sorry mom cant gonna be late for school " i yelled back , kalob looked up from his phone and smirked. we both ran off to his red convertible.
" that was good. " kalob smirked.
" well, its the truth. " i laughed.
the drive to school was really short, but still no one said a word.
we were lterally in the car for 10 minutes before until we got to school.
kalob pulled into an open spot far out from the enterance to the school, normally i would have argued with him but i was actually glad he parked so far away.
i took a deep breath before opening my door.. i was nervous as hell.
" just wait a second. " kalob said grabbing my shoulder.
" youre going to do great kaity, you'll be fine. everyone will like you, i promise. youre the beautiful california girl. i've got your back. you know that right? " he said.
" of course." i said putting my hand on his hand. " ready? " i asked.
" ready as ill ever be. " he smiled even though i know he was about to explode.
we both opened the car doors and stepped out.
all eyes were on us.
every single person in the parking lot were staring at us. i glanced over at kalob and he was starring straight ahead.
sometimes i wish i could just face everything head on like he did.
we walked from the car to the office which felt like a lifetime.
we got in the building and kalob and i went our seperate way.
i was so lost wandering around looking for my locker and my 1st period class.
i made it to my 1st period late.

i opened the front door and all eyes were on me.
the teacher directed me to my seat and i sat & it wasnt until i looked to my right when i became completley speechless.
sitting to my right was a gorgeous boy. he had brown hair done perfectly and a smile that lit up the enitre classroom.
he name tag read ' Jonah ' .
