"So he actually went to see what that chick wanted?" Jim asked. Lilith nodded as she ate another piece of chocolate. Jim watched as she put the dark piece of candy into her mouth and groaned. "You're going to get fat if you keep eating those like that." He said offhandedly. Lilith glared at him in annoyance. "You're going to get lung cancer if you keep smoking like you do." She fired back.
Jim rolled his eyes and pulled out his box only to find it empty. He muttered a 'shit' before stuffing it back into his pocket. The two were currently at the local park completed with rusty swings, cracked plastic slides, and a spinny thing. They never knew the name of it but it was there.
"So why did you even ask me to come here if you're just going to attack my chocolate." Lilith asked. Jim just shrugged. Truth be told, he didn't want to return to Halen just yet. As much as he loved the dorm house, he didn't like sitting in his room bored with nothing to do. "Just wanted to hang out." He half lied. Lilith took the answer and continued to eat her treats. Jim walked over to toss the box away in a nearby trash can.
"If you're bored..."
"Who said I was bored?" Jim asked. Lilith brought her finger up to her eye and smiled. "You have that stupid look in your eye. The same one you get in class." She laughed before popping another chocolate. Jim rubbed the back of his neck in embarrassment but didn't say anything. "Anyway, if you're bored why don't you just go visit..."
"Visitor hours are over and I'm not allowed to go during the weekdays. I would if I could." He quickly answered. He wish he could. He hates getting worried about it but he knew the rules. Even if they were stupid rules and the doctors could just go and shove them right up their...
"POMPADOUR!"
From the tree came a flying Pip as he launched himself off a branch and landed right in front of his friends. He stood there completely unfazed with his trademark smile and a stick stuck in his hair. Jim gave a wave while Lilith was trying to figure out what had just happened.
"How goes your afternoon friends?" Pip asked joyfully. Lilith just nodded while Jim complained about his cigarettes running out. Pip reached into his pocket and handed him a brand-new box which earn him a look from Lilith who decided to leave it be. Pip took the third swing and gently pushed himself off the ground to swing a bit.
What none of them realized was there was two other people at this park. And they had their targets locked.
-------Ted was currently rushing through the empty halls as he tried to forget what had just happened. He had no idea what that girl's game was but he refused to play it. He just didn't want to think about it. Hopefully he could find something to distract himself. He figured everyone had already left and he didn't want to bother with calling anyone. Oscar was currently busy with something, he didn't bother saying what, and Jose was at her club. What club? Hell if he knew cause she never tells him anything. Jim and Pip would've returned to Halen for sure seeing as it was a Wednesday filled with projects. Lilith was just awkward to hang around alone due to her teasing nature. Steph was probably still showing that guy around as well. God knows where Cid was. That just left...
"Oh! Hi Ted."
Olivia walked out of the classroom she was currently in and greeted the much taller boy. Actually, now that he took a good look at her, he realized just how much taller he was. Her head only reached the top of his chest. "Hey. You busy?" She simply shook her head. She was just checking in with her father before heading home but figured she'd stay and chat for a moment. "Perfect. You're coming with me." Ted decided. He grabbed her hand and began to drag a very confused, and flustered, Olivia along. "To do what?"
"No good." He grinned.
-------
Jim sighed as he lowered the cigarette from his mouth. Lilith took noticed and eyed the boy. From his single earing to his very obviously worn shoes and his mid neck length brown hair. He was truly the image of rough. The scar on his cheek was large enough to be seen but not noticable enough to catch someone's eye. His lip had a faint scar from a fight about a year before. Lilith would be the first to admit that he was a attractive man but he was still a child at heart. She looked to Pip who was happily swinging his feet in the air as he sat at the table. His blonde curls bounced with every kick over his ocean blue eyes. To anyone looking in, Pip could easily be mistaking as a surfer dude or a beach bum. He even had that laid back attitude and the charismatic smile that seemed to brighten up the room. He had freckles across his cheeks but no other noticeable marks.
Lilith thought back to Ted and realized she was surrounded by beautiful people in general. The boy, though the youngest, seemed more mature than the other boys in their group. His raven black hair allowed his green eyes to pop. He had no scars besides his hands thanks to his little stunts but nothing on his face. He looked about two years older than he actually was and his smirk was known to send shivers down spines.
Jim raised an eyebrow as he grinned. "See something you like?" He asked which snapped Lilith from her thoughts. She simply stuck her tongue out as she looked at her phone. Jim returned his attention back to Pip only to see a new figure behind the boy. "Pip!"
The boy turned and jumped to a defensive mode. Lilith reached into her pocket for something before spotting her sister next to the boy. "Heya sis!" Steph greeted.
The boy raised a hand with a blank expression while Steph was smiling like a fool. The trio looked at each other before Jim simply shrugged. "So who is this Steph?" He asked. Steph took a step back and dramatically lifted two arms as if to present him.
"This is Ned! Well his name is actually Edward but I just started calling him Ned. Goes with the whole three letter thing you guys got going on." She introduced. Ned simply began to move the hand back and forth in a waving motion.
Jim opened his mouth to retort but quickly closed it when he thought back and realized that she was right. Ted, Jim, Pip, Cid, and now Ned. Wait. Olivia, Lilith, Stephanie yeah it was just the guys. Wait, Oscar. Did Oscar count? He technically didn't do anything. Why was he thinking so hard about this?
"I for one welcome this odd mannered boy to our clan." Pip said as he shook Ned's hand. Ned just nodded and looked to Lilith. He tilted his head and looked to Steph. "Sisters?" He asked. Steph nodded.
"This is Jim, Pip, and Lilith. My sister." Steph introduced.
--------------
Ted continued to walk down the street while unconsciously holding Olivia's hand. While she was internally freaking out and blushing like a fool, Ted was on the look out for something to keep his mind away from the roof conversation. Olivia found herself looking at their hands and realized just how small her's was in his grip."Wanna watch a movie? Is there a movie you want to watch? Maybe some dinner? Dinner sounds nice." Ted began to list. Olivia just gently squeezed his hand forcing him to stop and look at her. She looked down at their hands before Ted realized what he was doing. He slowly began to pull away but Olivia gently gripped his hand to keep it in his.
"How about some ice cream? We can go sit down somewhere and talk." She suggested. Ted smiled softly. "That sounds nice."
