Chapter Sixteen: Birthday wishes...

Grace's POV

Wednesday morning rolled around, and I woke up happy. My Chenle turned sixteen today! He's still a baby though. The whole ride to school was exciting, and a little nerve wracking for me. I couldn't wait to give Chenle his gift.

"Grace, when you give Chenle his gift, make sure to tell him to thank us," Crystal said while we were on the way there.

"The only people I'll mention would be Justice and Angel. They gave me the gift ideas," I laughed.

"But we stood there and waited for you!" Zoe protested.

"Yeah, we should get some of the credit," Crystal nodded.

"Me too, I gave you a good gift idea," Jasmine said, and I blushed.

"Kissing him is not a good gift. And I'll tell him that I tortured you guys into being there with me," I said.

"Trust me, he'd love it," Jasmine said.

"You know we would've stayed with you no matter how long and boring," Kai commented.

"Yeah, we have to stick together," Justice nodded.

"Yeah, gotta help our sister with her crush always," Angel said.

"We're here!" Zoe said. She was the first one out, and ran towards the school.

"Is she crazy?" Jasmine asked. "No one runs happily to school!"

"She must be going to see Jeno," Kai said.

"You're probably right, but I'm going to go find Chenle now before class. See you girls then," I said. I got out and walked into school. Luckily for me, Chenle's locker was by the front of the school, and I quickly found him standing by it, talking to Jisung.

"Oh Grace, hey," Chenle said, and smiled at me.

"Hi Chenle, hey Jisung," I waved to the two. "Happy sixteenth birthday Chenle!" I then said, and Chenle smiled brighter.

"Awe thanks."

"I'm going to go find Angel, see you guys later," Jisung said.

"Is that a gift for me?" Chenle asked after Jisung was out of ear range. I looked down at the bag in my hand and nodded.

"Yup. Of course I had to get you something for your sixteenth birthday," I replied. I handed Chenle the bag, and he smiled seeing the few items in it.

"Thank you. That means so much to me," Chenle grinned. He hugged me, then opened his locker to store his gift in there.

"Justice and Angel helped me pick it out. There other girls were there too the whole time, so they told me to mention them as well," I said, and Chenle shook his head.

"You probably had them in the stores forever," he said and I gasped.

"I did not!" I exclaimed, hitting his arm. Chenle laughed, and I pouted. "You're mean."

"I'm not, you're just a baby. I have something I want to ask you though," Chenle said, all his playfulness suddenly gone, and I raised my eyebrow.

"Okay? Go ahead."

Kai's POV

I was sitting in class, just waiting for it to start already. I was very bored, and I think Haechan noticed it since he came over to me. I stared at him as he pulled up a chair, and sat directly across from me.
