Chapter Twenty-Two: Good or bad...

Angel's POV

Unfortunately Saturday rolled around, and we all knew what that meant. We were up early again for training, but this time it was something more serious. Apparently Kai saw something, so we were down in our secret base, about to discuss what happened.

"So what happened at school?" Zoe asked.

"After school while I was at my locker, this boy named Hyunjin came to me to hand me my notebook back. When I went to grab it from him I touched him and everything went black for a second. In that second, a quiet voice chanted some type of spell or something, I'm not too sure, but when I could see again, Hyunjin had a black like mist surrounding him," Kai explained.

"Like Zoe's that one time? Does he have powers like her?" Jasmine asked.

"No, his mist was different," Kai said, shaking her head. "He had the mist of a dark magic user, and I've read that the Annihilator used to walk around with that same mist around him. I don't know what he is or if the Annihilator did something to him, but we definitely know he's working for him," Kai said.

"Do you remember exactly what you heard?" Justice asked, and Kai nodded. She repeated what was said to her, and it was weird. The words even had a dark scary vibe to it.

"Marie, do you know what that means?" Crystal asked.

"No, that's a whole different dark magic language. It's not like anything we would usually say," Marie said.

"Interesting. I wonder what it means," Justice hummed.

"Well whatever it means must not be anything good. Those words sounded dark and felt weird to hear," I said, and the other girls nodded.

"Well anyone got some new suspicions other than that?" Justice asked.

"Oh there's one girl in like all of my classes, her name is Yuna. Shin Yuna, and I don't know, she seems to stare and glare at me a lot," I said.

"Oh yeah, I've heard of her," Grace said.

"If she says anything to you tell me and I'll fight her," Jasmine said.

"Okay, moving on. Anyone else?"

"I think we need to be more alert now, you never know who is out there looking for us," Kai said.

"She's right. I don't know, but I feel like strange things are starting to happen the more we deal with the Annihilator," Justice spoke, and we nodded. "If there isn't anything else, let's get to work, because we definitely need it," she said after, and then we went upstairs to go practice.

Our practice got cut short today, because the Annihilator just loved to send a new set of foes each week now seems like. This time they were going around and messing with people's houses. There looked to be twelve of them, and most of them were in separate places.

"Why does he have so many boys to just use and dispose of?" Zoe asked, whining.

"I don't know, but how are we going to deal with them all?" Jasmine asked.

"Splitting up individually is not smart with this many people," Kai pointed out.

"Okay so how about we go in pairs of two or four?" Grace suggested.

"Let's do groups of two. There's mainly only one boy at each place so we don't need four attacking him at once," Justice instructed. "Zui, you're with me. Tiny go with Alicia. Sparkle go with Love, and Graceful you're with Scarlet," she said. We all nodded and went our separate ways with our partners.
