"Aspen, come on" Charlotte says with an annoyed tone
She's been scolding me for thirty-minutes.
It's the last day of school before Christmas break.
"It's the last day and it's only half a day" she shouts in irritation
"Shut up, my mom is still sleeping" I say from under my blanket
"Ugh" she groans in irritation
"If you get up I'll buy your food for the whole day" she says with obvious regret in her tone
"You should've said that thirty minutes ago" I say as I get up and walk into the bathroom to get ready
"I give up" I hear Charlotte say in disbelief as she throws her arms up in the air

As I walk out of the bathroom I'm met with an empty room.
I grab my phone before I run downstairs into the kitchen.
"There she is" my mom says over dramatically as I enter the room
"Where is Charlotte?" I ask
"She's outside waiting for you" she says
I nod my head before walking towards the front door. As I open the front door I see Charlotte in the front seat of her car.
I smile as I close the door behind me and walk towards the passenger door.
"How does it feel to be cast free?" I ask her as I sit in the passenger seat and close the door
"Amazing" She says which causes me to laugh
"Where would you like to eat breakfast?" Charlotte asks as she pulls out of the driveway
"We're going to be late" I say as I look at the time
"We're already late, might as well take advantage of it" Charlotte says with a shrug
"Krispy Kreme" I say which causes her to laugh
"You're the only person who would have a sugar craving this early in the morning" she says which causes me to gasp
"I'm pretty sure a lot of people have sugar cravings in the morning" I state as if it was a fact
Which it is.
"Okay, whatever you say" she says before we're left in comfortable silence
