Giovanni Ellis:

I glance at the time on my newly installed bedside clock. It is 7:01 in the morning and according to Arnold and Liam breakfast starts at 7:00. That makes Thora an entire- now two minutes late. Maybe she finally caught the hint and bailed on me. I sit impatiently on one of the black couches in the room. The food sits waiting in front of me on the coffee table.

There is a knock on the door and it slowly starts to open. "Giovanni?" her angelic voice rings into the room. I wipe an idiotic smile off of my face and clear my throat.

"Yeah," I say "come in." She giggles and opens the door all the way. She wears a simple black knee length dress. It embroidered in red. She pairs it with red heels and a diamond necklace hangs just below her collarbone with a diamond encrusted half moon. She smiles up at me with her big doe eyes and I give her a small smile back. "Sorry i'm late," she says softly as if not to scare me.

"It's fine," I say back to her motioning for her to sit on the couch across from me. She smiles and sits down on the couch and I nod to myself and sit down as well. I watch her carefully as she stares at the assortment of breakfast foods and then her eyes light up.

"Oh my goddess!" She squeals and I jump slightly "French toast." I cock my head to the side and chuckle. She looks up at me in surprise and I instantly sober up.

"Sorry," I say regaining myself. She smiles showing off her perfect white teeth

"No worries," She says back. "You've never laughed in my presence I was just surprised." My eyes widen at her boldness.

"Well," I mutter clearing my throat "Maybe you just aren't funny." She gasp and I look up at her gauging her reaction.

"Lies! First of all if i wasn't next in line for the crown i'd be the top stand up comedian," She claims proudly.

"Tell me joke then," I challenge and she stalls. I laugh at her and she crosses her arms.

"Not fair," She mutters "I was caught off guard."

I shrug and pick up a plate with a waffle on it. "Not a very good comedian if you ask me." she huffs but laughs a second later. she picks up her own plate with french toast and drowns it in syrup. She picks up a can of whipped creme and starts to pile her plate high. Once she's down she sprays some in her mouth and giggles when it spills out.

She looks over to me once she's done and smiles sheepishly. "Sorry," she says. She leans over to my plate with a smile waffle on it and holds the can out. "May I?"

I hesitate for a second and then look up to my goofy mate. I'm supposed to be trying with her and part of trying is liking the things she likes. This is all a part of getting to know each other. "Sure," I say nodding and she smiles and puts a happy face on the waffle. She laughs.

"It's you," She comments and I look at the crooked smile and uneven eyes.

"Yeah you really captured me in this," I say back to her and she laughs again "This is like the art they put in museums that people pay millions for."

"Slap a price tag on that baby and bam." She says slamming the can down on the table. "You've got a work of art."

We eat in silence for a while. Not uncomfortable silence but more of we don't know what to say. I never really thought i'd find a mate and if I did I always thought i'd get rejected on sight. Here I am though having breakfast with an actual goddess. It scares me how much I actually want to be with her and I don't know why. I know the bond is supposed to draw us together but I never knew it would be this much. I never knew I would want to be with her. Who knows how long this'll last before she finds out something she doesn't like about me and decides to reject me. If I get too attached too her I wont be able to leave. The thought of leaving now hurts my chest but when the bond grows it'll be near impossible. Am I doing the right thing?
