Giovanni Ellis:
"What the fuck do you mean you can't tell what's wrong with her?" I snap at the doctor. King Silas puts his arm on my shoulder to try and calm me but it does nothing to help.
"I'm sorry, Highness," he says looking down. "You said she hasn't eaten anything strange. I don't know which test to run because I don't know what I'm looking for."
"Then run them all!" I yell making him flinch. "You better run something or so help me, goddess, I can promise you will be running for your life."
"Highness," he says with a slight squeak to his voice. "I can't run anything until I know what to do. Some of these tests could harm her if I run them and nothing is wrong."
I almost rip his throat out. "She's in a coma!"
"Yes I know, Highness. I just don't-"
"Don't finish that sentence," I growl. "Listen carefully because I will not repeat myself. She went to mind link Santiago and then she fell to the floor. She was screaming."
"Maybe try a head thing," The queen suggests wine the doctor sighs.
"I have, Majesty," he says looking down at Thora "it's the first one I ran. The result keeps coming back inconclusive. The only reason that happens is if a Fae has put a charm on her. However, he said they were in Santiago's room and they have been together all day."
"Get the fuck out," I snarl already upset. The doctor scurries from the room and I lean over Thora's bed. "I'm so sorry, baby. I'll figure it out."
"Your damn right you'll figure it out!" The King yells and I turn towards him.
"Yeah, I'll put it on the list," I snap.
First, we find that Santiago is a traitor and then this? How in the fuck did it get past me that he was the traitor? How did I trust the one person I wasn't supposed to? As per usual it seems. I made a mistake trusting Alpha West and now I have made a mistake trusting Santiago.
I have 48 hours to turn myself in or Alpha Weston will turn this place into a graveyard and take me with him. My mate is in a coma and I have no clue why. Why does this all happen to me? Why?
Now the doctor is saying that the Fae has something to do with this. How could they when they live in an entirely different realm? How could a Fae have slipped past us? They have a scent although it's faint it's barely there that is their entire scent. They are meant for camouflage but werewolves have a keen sense of smell. We should've noticed a weird odorless-
"Fuck!" I yell. "Fuck! Fuck!" The King and Queen both look at me in surprise as they sit with their daughter.
"What?" The queen asks and I look towards her.
"Get the troops together to prepare for a fight. I know how to wake Thora up. We have 48 hours before an attack happens," I say before exiting the room quickly.
"Rayan?"
"Yes?"
"Meet me in my office I know how to wake her up."
"What?"
"Thora!"
"On my way," he says unenthusiastically.
I rush to the office I share with Thora and yank the door open. Inside sits Rayan with puffy eyes. He bulletproof vest if off displaying his black long sleeve and weapons belt. "How?" Is all he asks.
"Laura is a Fae. She somehow charmed Thora yesterday. We need to call prince Alerick to get a cure."
"He won't help us," Rayan croaks. "He's at no obligation and also the two of you said that you weren't going to his coronation."
