Thora Hawthorn:

I wake up with a jolt. The howls ring loudly throughout the whole castle and I know this means we are officially at war.

I look next to me expecting to come face to face with Gio. Instead, the room is empty and the window is half-open. Did he leave? Fuck! Why in the fuck did he have the same idea as me?

I jump up taking the taser from my belt that I was going to use or Gio. It was going to debilitate him for about two hours so I could leave and fight and hopefully make it back. Now I guess I won't be needing it. I strip out of all of my clothes before I run towards the window.

I burst through the doors and shift mid-air falling on all fours in the grass and my eyes nearly bulge from my head. Wolves are everywhere all fighting for their lives. Some are in human form and other in wolf form but all of them are bloody and dirt ridden.

'Find mate!' My wolf presses in my head. I shake the thought loose. First I need to control this.

I run towards the fight dodging fighting wolves and snarling at anyone who comes close.

'Whoever has always eyes on Giovanni needs to surround him!' I say quickly through the link.

A sharp pain comes from my side and I howl. A wolf sinks their teeth into my hind leg. Turning quickly I buck the wolf from my leg and bristle my fur before growling. The growl shakes the ground but the wolf is persistent. A traitor cannot recognize their alpha so this is going to be harder than I thought. I let out another ground-shaking growl before I notice I'm surrounded.

Fuck.

The wolf in front of me lunges at me and I wait for him to mid-air before I attack. I grab his neck and squeeze hard until I hear a crack. I shake him back and forth and throw him from me. He lands in a crumpled pile a few yards away hitting another wolf in the process.

The wolves all lunge at me at once. I grab another by their neck and squeeze the life from her while bucking others off me. A gunshot rings out and then another. Down the wolves go as I go for neck after neck until I'm surrounded by dead wolves.

With no time to dwell on that, I look up to see Rayan kicking a wolf in the nose and then turning to stab another in the head. He pushes hard and then rips the knife away getting splattered with blood
in the process. His usually blonde hair is drenched in red as is his face.

'Where is Santiago?' I ask him and his head whips around to me.

'I don't know. Can't find him or the bitch. Still looking."

'Where is Gio?'

'He went after Alpha Weston.'

A wolf jumps on me and I buck him off and then turn to have a standoff with him. We circle each other and I notice his fur is matted and red. I can't tell if it's his blood or anyone else but he is a limping to my advantage.

'Are you good?' I ask Rayan still circling the wolf.

'Is that a serious question?' He asks back and I smirk. If he's still cracking jokes he's still half okay.

The wolf lunges and I go for his right hind leg. He howls in pain as I bite down and rip it away from the rest of his body. He falls to the ground and then grabs me by the neck. I choke a second before getting out of his weak grip. I grab his neck instead and bite down hard.

I run into the fight continuing on as I go. It scares me how easily I'm killing these people I don't know. Do they have families? Children? They must have them. They are people with lives like me.
