-Michael's point of view-

At school, I honestly never cared about reputations. At least not until mine was made when I successfully placed a live frog in a teacher's drawer. Since then I was known as the boy who made class interesting, which I learnt to uphold as my pranks developed as I grew up. I wasn't exactly a popular person, infact some people found me annoying, but I did have a few friends who practically worshipped me. Not Calum though, he loved me before my reputation.

Those were really the only friends I had at that school. So going to Luke's house after only having properly spoken to him for the first time hours prior was something new. It nearly gave me butterflies how exciting Luke was.

But despite saying that, parts about him still managed to piss me off.

"How much longer until your house?" I spoke up. Luke walked slightly ahead of me as I didn't know where we were going. It was an area on the slightly richer side of town, like where I lived myself.

"None. We're here." Luke said, then grabbed his keys to unlock the front door: it was an average sized house, and not very interesting. Unlike the boy himself.

I nodded. "So," I looked around the large living room area that we stepped into and shoved my hands in my pockets casually. "What are we going to do?"

"Do you like trampolining?"

Luke's question caught me off guard. "Erm, I guess-"

"You do?" Luke grinned. He had a mischievous sparkle in his eyes. The blonde motioned for me to follow him to what I assumed was the back garden, which had a large trampoline in the middle. "Okay, careful over that step."

The entrance to the garden was through large glass sliding doors. So, since they were so clean, I assumed they were open. I followed where Luke's finger now pointed to the trampoline, but was then stopped in my tracks as my nose came into contact with the strong glass. "Shit," I groaned; the bonk was hard and fast, leaving me in a nearly unbearable pain for a few long seconds.

"I told you to be careful." Luke laughed. Laughed.

"Over the step, you could have told me the door was closed before I walked into it!" I held my throbbing nose as if it would help with the pain. Unfortunately it didn't, and soon I felt blood pouring out of it. "What did I do to deserve that?"

"You're cute." Luke said. It was hard to tell if he was replying to me or not.

"Well," I finally stood up from the floor where I fell, "that just means I'll have to get you back for that." The pain was now fading, however it was evident that a bruise would appear on my nose soon. "Then I will laugh at you."

"Okay," Luke said. "I like physical things." He spoke flirtatiously. Only minutes ago he seemed perfectly normal, if just a bit irritating, but now he didn't make sense. The way he looked at me was strange, at least not how boys usually looked at me, and it seemed as though he would go out of his way to get on my nerves. Well, two could play at that game.

"I'll keep that in mind. Am I bleeding?" I said, urging Luke to come closer to me. He did, and inspected my nose.

"Yeah, it looks gross." He spoke.

"Will you get me a tissue then?"

Luke nodded, then turned towards wherever he was going to get tissues from. But before he could go too far, I stretched my right foot out in order for him to trip over. It was successful, and I laughed at how he fell onto the carpet face-first. "Touché." He grumbled from the floor. It was hard to make out though, since his mouth was still facing the ground. Still laughing, I poked his back with my foot.

"Don't mess with me Luke, because you will end up in a situation much worse."

"I wouldn't mind seeing what that situation is," Luke said as he sat himself up. He then tugged on my hand slightly from below. "It seems fun."

"You're only digging your hole deeper."

Luke, still grabbing onto my hand, yanked me down onto the floor with him. I stared at the boy in confusion, because no normal person I ever came across yanked me without my consensus. "How deep do I need to dig for you to go out with me?"

"You-" I rethought his words, "what?"

"You heard me, Michael." Luke smiled innocently as he looked into my eyes.

"Deep enough so that you reach America, because that would be impossible." I rolled my eyes. Now it made sense to why Luke was acting so weird, but I figured I should take this as a compliment. I'm attractive.

"That's not entirely impossible, you realise." Luke wiggled his eyebrows.

"Even if I was attracted to boys, I wouldn't be attracted to one who laughs at me when I walk into a door."

"Fine." Luke huffed, "but maybe you will be attracted to guys who are mischiveous."

**

Only with that small scene, Luke had corrupted my mind. After getting back onto our feet, we watched Spongebob in silence and then I went home. All I knew about the boy who supposedly liked me was that he's strange and is willing to compete against me at what I do best: pranking. Of course I would join in on his game, but not because I like him back. Purely for my love of seeing his reaction. And anyway, being a confident twat would not grow my (if I had any) affection for him.

"He's weird, Calum." I said. Calum and I were speaking through the phone, since this was too exciting to only text about. I told my best friend everything about what happened at Luke's house, excluding the part where he basically admitted he likes me. I felt too awkward talking about that.

"Then it would be even more fun to beat him at his own game. Also, imagine everyone else's reactions. You would be even more popular than you already are!" Calum said. He had a point, which once again gave my stomach butterflies. Ever since I started speaking to Luke, this was common.

"Good point." I agreed, growing eager about all of the ideas I could do in my mind.

Luke chose the wrong boy to mess with, especially since I didn't like him back, and now he would have to pay the price.
