I swung my legs back and forth while waiting for the bus to arrive. Like everyday I clambered up the metal stairs and swung down onto my normal seat. I noticed that I had placed my bag on my lap instead of the seat next to me. That's when I noticed that the new boy, who had sat next to me for the past week, wasn't here.
I got my phone out and checked to see if there were any new messages from Hugo. there were none. I signed and gazed out the window just like any normal morning.
