Episode 15

-The next day-
Yuga's pov
  What?! Kiri's a monster?
  No wonder all the monsters were acting weird. Yesterday was a total drama fest after Kiri left. Our buddies told us that he was actually a monster from Dungeon World called Dark Miserea. I mean, what?
  Even as I walked into the classroom, I was still processing that piece of information. "If Kiri is a 'dark' Miserea, then his buddy must love him very much to stay by his side," I commented smiling.
  Ranma looked at me and gawked in disbelief. "That's not the point! Didn't you hear what they said?" He groaned exasperatedly. I lowered my head. Yeah...that's right. Garga said that the buddy police would come and capture him today.
  Plus, we also need to aid them in the arrest...

Subaru's pov
  I'm losing concentration.
  Why am I so unfocused today? I shook my head and stared at the stars on the astrology booklet. Their names, legends and meanings popped up in my head as they always did, but somehow I felt distracted.
  Kiri's shadow appeared on the table as I glanced up. "Morning, Dar...Kiri." I greeted. Shoot, I almost exposed his real name. His crimson eyes narrowed in amusement as he sat down. "Hi..." He whispered back.
  I took a deep breath and sighed softly. Yes, so that's why. Light is going to bring the buddy police to capture him, and all of us will be helping them.  "How will Miserea react?"
I calculated all his possible actions carefully.
  Kiri seems fully aware that I knew who he was, but had he realised what we're about to do to him? I turned a page and continued thinking. What would the others say, especially the ones that Kiri helped? Note would be devastated, I thought.
  "Subaru, is anything wrong?" Kiri's sudden enquiry made me jerk. "No, it's just..." I answered as Kiri peeked into my mind, giggling knowingly. "If you were to leave, what would you like to say to us?" I asked.
  "If I were to leave, huh..." He sensed my implication and chuckled lightly. "Why the sudden question?" I glared at him yet again and he raised his hands in surrender. Placing a hand on the invisible wall, he replied me coolly.
  "I would say that Yuga is the most clueless person I've ever met, Ranma and Eden think they understand me but they do not, Masato is just as naive, plus his catchphrase is lame, Note is an interesting fella and..." he rambled boredly.
  I was groaning internally until he added, "As for you, you are smart, but not as smart as Miko. Daijiro is as strong as a monster but too self-centered..." I raised an eyebrow. Not as smart as Miko?? I shut off his talking and flipped open my book.
  "'You will receive unexpected feedback,' yeah." I mumbled as I memorised the horoscopes. I feel a little sorry for him, though.
  He can only see the dark side of things...

-Timeskip to afternoon-
Dark Miserea's pov
  Who does he think he is?
  I laughed uncontrollably as I walked into the cafe. "Hi. Welcome to cafe Mikono!" Miko welcomed when I stepped in. "Hi, Miko." I waved and sat onto an empty chair. Miserea floated over and remained next to me.
  I grinned with mock innocence at Yuga, Ranma and Eden. With the sadness I see in their eyes, they really think that I'm going to be retained by the buddy police...Hi-LAR-ious! You people belittle my craftiness.
  Suddenly, Yuga got up from his seat and took out his deck. "I challenge you to a buddyfight!" He declared. My eyes widened a bit as I accepted his challenge. All the others were gaping at him as he casually set up the fighting stage.
  Hi-LAR-ious! Doesn't he know?

Yuga's pov
  "Wherever there's a buddyfight, Ion Nanana will be there!" Ion warped into the stage with Takokichi. "Today's fight is between Kiri and Yuga, chu!" Takokichi added. All of this seems so normal, yet, it's a deadly countdown to Kiri's capture.
  I'm gonna make this match the funnest ever! "The deity of combat that links all worlds together, and descends now! Luminize, Ace Dradeity!" I cried.
  "Let it begin, the demise of those who stand before me! Luminize, Dead End World!" Kiri yelled.
  "Aaaaaannnnnnd...Buddyfight!" "Time to raise the flag!" We shouted. "Dragon World!" I declared. "Dungeon World," he stated. "Yuga has the first move!" Ion pointed as I started my turn with gusto.
  "Draw, charge and draw! I buddy call Deity Gargantua Dragon to the right!" Garga sprung up at the right position. "All are powerless before my blade!" He swung a sword. "I call Tith Gardra to the left and equip Gar-Saber!"
  "Now, Garga. Attack the fighter!" I commanded and Garga shot his blades at Kiri. "Cast! Divine Protection Of Shalsana!" He casted a counter spell and smirked mysteriously. "My turn."
  "Draw, charge and draw. I buddy call Overturn Ice Emperor, Miserea to the right!" Miserea landed gracefully and Kiri called more monsters. "Kiri, we all know that you're not human!" I yelled. He blinked in surprise.
  "So NOW you notice?" He giggled softly. "Hi-LAR-ious! Miserea, attack the fighter!" I casted Deity Green Dragon Shield and my life went up by 3. "Miserea, double attack!" "Nereus stream!" I groaned and took 2 damage.
  "Now that you know, are you scared of me? I can kill you any minute with my powers!" He probed and cackled like a witch. I stood up straight and beamed, "no, quite the opposite, actually."
  "You're still my friend, and one of my best friends ever!" I beamed.

Garga's pov
  That's Yuga, all right.
  I gazed at my innocent buddy and Kiri's dumbfounded expression. Yuga...he is unswervingly loyal to his friends, and would never give up on them. That's what made Ranma come back to him in the first place.
  "Friend? This Kiri you know is but a pathetic human form, and you don't see who I truly am!" He charged forward with his item and slashed at Yuga. "I do know who you truly are, Kiri. You just hide it well, that's all," he urged.
  "No matter how dark and evil you think you are, I still like you, as a human, and as a monster too!" Yuga put on his headphones and twisted it backwards. "Draw, charge and draw! We can help you change, Kiri!"
  "Garga, attack Kiri!" I thrusted my swords onto him as his eyes gleamed in malice. "Overturn Ice Emperor, Miserea! Overturn!" He screamed. "You don't know anything about me..." He whispered.
  "Deity G.Evo, activate! Change! Gargantua Blast mode!" I transformed into Blast mode and grinned. That's it, Yuga. Keep going. Both my attacks hit Kiri as his smirk faded. "Wh-wh-what's this? Miserea's Overturn has been stopped!" Ion stammered.
  I reverted back and attacked once more. "I cast! Quiescence of Cassiade!" He yelled. I skidded back as my buddy proudly declared his finishing move. "Final phase!" He shouted. "I... cast! Deity Gargantua Punisher!"
  As my legendary blade cut down on Kiri, I heard Yuga whisper,
  "Sorry for now, Kiri. I'll always miss you, my friend."
