-Flashback_
The late afternoon sun was warm and easing compared to the heat and brightness hours before. Bakugou stood in front of the house, the front walls lit up orange in the sunset. His finger hovered over the door bell, his feet shuffling on the doorstep.
His eyes where barely opening as he hung his head low, a large ring of purple staining his pale skin under each one. Bakugou was so tired and so nauseous. His legs were almost falling out from underneath him just from the weight of his backpack as he stood. Finally, in a wave of sickly heat, he leaned forward at pressed the button, listening to the ring echo dimly through the house. After a moment the door clicked and swung open, a female voice greeting him.
"Well well, it's about time you came to see us." A female mirror image of the young blonde began tersely.
Bakugou took a small step forward and mumbled, staggering into the house. "Mum-"
"Katsuki?" Mitsuki caught her son in her arms as he fell, straining to keep the well-muscled male up. "Katsuki, what's the matter? Dear!!"
She called her husband in distress and he came rushing around the corner from the kitchen. "Is that Katsuki?!"
Bakugou's father ran to support his son as the omega's legs gave up on him. For a moment, Bakugou had a little bit of his attitude back. "Fuck, I didn't think morning sickness would be this bad."
As Mitsuki met her husband's wide gaze Bakugou's eyes flickered closed and the pregnant omega lost consciousness.
"Now, you're sure you got everything you need?"
I kneeled down in front my daughter before she raced away. Akane fixed up the straps to her backpack and nodded rapidly. "Uh-huh!"
"She's fine, Katsuki." Mitsuki waved her hand dismissively. "Calm youself! We'll look after her."
I glared over Akane's head at my mother. My protective instincts for my daughter held onto the small ball of worry in my stomach.
"Okay then, little one." I brushed back her hair and pressed a quick kiss to her forehead. "I'll see you tonight. Love you."
"Love you, too." She grinned happily as I got to my feet again.
I cast my gaze back to where my mother and father stood. "Keep an eye on her, okay?"
My mother rolled her eyes but her smile was warm. My father nodded reassuringly. They enjoyed my daughter's company and loved a little attention from the little girl when she visited. Perhaps they missed having a child in the house and, most likely, welcomed the difference in attitude from when I was a kid.
A little relief and gratitude crept into my heart for my parent's support.
Mitsuki lifted Akane into her arms and hissed playfully. "Get to work now, slow-slug!"
Preschool was not on the day Hatsume had been available to talk with me at the company. Usually I could work those days at home to keep an eye on Akane but I guess fate had to work in irritating ways. At least had my parent's house to drop her at for the day.
I arrived at work a little early so I had time to get a coffee. I was still drinking it when I was tapped on the shoulder by a gentle hand.
I turned to see large yellow-green eyes and a wide grin. "Hey there, Bakugou!"
