-Flashback-

"So, feelings of nausea, throwing up, headaches and occasional fever, is that right?"

The doctor milled over her notes as she sat beside her computer.

Bakugou nodded slowly, slouching down in his seat in front of her. His stomach churned with sickness despite being empty from the last time he had vomited. Heat radiated off his skin but Bakugou felt cold, his head an unbalanced mess. His legs had been shaking so badly he was surprised he had even made it to the hospital.

"How long has this been going on?"

"A little longer than a week, I believe." His voice was weak and husky as he answered. At first, he had refused to come to see a doctor, thinking it would pass within a couple of days but as time progressed it had gotten worse. He had finally given in that day because his fever had peaked to the worst it had been since he got it. He couldn't work as a hero like this.

After noting his answer, she asked her last question. "I'm sorry for the awkward question but when was you last heat?"

Bakugou flinched slightly and looked down at the floor. Memories were stirred up in his head as his voice turned soft. "Seven weeks ago."

"Okay." The doctor put down her notes slowly and rested her hands in her lap. "I had a feeling about this since you came in and I could smell your scent but now, I have confirmed what I thought."

He narrowed his eyes in confusion.

"Your pregnant."

Bakugou's breath seemed to get caught in his throat and silence spread across the doctor's office.

As his foggy brain caught up with what she had said he planted his head in his hands and groaned. "Fuuuck."

A sudden flashback had taken him to the night with Kirishima. In the heat of the moment they had forgot protection and birth control had completely slipped Bakugou's mind.

In his state, he felt his eyes water, tears slowly dripping down his face. "Oh shit, I'm so sorry."

"No, that's fine." She reassured him gently and let his tears fall in silence as he tried to straighten out his thoughts.

A child. The word kept going around in his head. A hero couldn't have a child. It would get in the way and looking after it would be hard. Let alone the threats against it as I was quite a famous hero already. But something stopped me from wanting to get rid of it.

Half was his omega's instinct to care for the child in his stomach and had the desire to have it. Although his omega side was the thing that got him in this position in the first place. The other thing played in his head and he couldn't rip it out as he so wanted to.

This was Eijiro's child.

-Present day-

In the end, I had somehow been convinced to meet with the woman I had known in high school. Who could blame me really? That work colleague had been as annoying as hell until I gave in and the deal had been changed to my needs. My wish not to stay outside the city had somehow made it to Hatsume-san's office and she had changed her arrangements so that she could meet me at my own workplace.

I sighed as I adjusted my apron again. It didn't make it any less irritated to see someone who knew me in the past.

"Hey, Dad!" I watched Akane clamber up onto the stool on the other side of the kitchen bench with a smile of amusement. "What's for dinner?"
