I'm sorry for not updating so long, but I had no time to write because of school.
Sunlight poured through the window directly into Clary's eyes. She was lying in Jace's bed, bed sheets twisted under her because of another nightmare. They haven't stopped since she woke up last week. She still recalled that night, going into the kitchen for water, picking up a knife and almost killing herself. If it wasn't for Jace she would be dead. She remembered: "Clary what's ta-" And him running over to her, yanking the knife from her hand. She didn't know why did she do it and was confused. Ever since then there was always someone watching over her. Most of the time it was Jace, but sometimes he had to go on a mission, so either Izzy or Simon were watching over her. And since that night her nightmares haven't stopped. Every night she dreamed of her mother, stabbing her into her stomach and leaving her to die. Every time Jace got close to her, she killed him as well. First days she even woke up screaming. "Good morning." Jace sat in an armchair next to bed, two mugs in his hands. Clary sat up and he passed one to Clary. "Another nightmare?" he asked worriedly. "Yes. They...they are always the same one." "We should go to the Silent City. I don't like this. First, you try to commit suicide and then you have repeating nightmares." he stood up and walked up to the window. The golden light of the sun turned him into a gold statue. "I don't think silent brothers could help. I think it's a message from angels." "So angels want you dead. Great." His phone started vibrating and he pulled it out of his jacket. His face turned white as he read the message. "Is everything okay?" "Yeah, they just need me on a mission. Four killed mundanes. Weird thing is that the four mundanes each got killed in another way but it looks like if they were used for summoning some greater demon." "Greater demon? Can I go with you?" "Clary, it's not safe. What if we gave you a weapon and you'd try to hurt yourself?" "Look, I'm okay. I'm okay while you are by my side." "Clary I once lost you just for a moment and how did that end? I'm not willing to risk losing you again. Besides Izzy said she will keep an eye on you while I'm gone." Clary knew very well what he was talking about. It was Halloween and they found a den of Drevak demons. As they were fighting them, one of them threw her through the wall and binding rune between her and Johnathan had taken control of her. "Bye, see you later." Jace placed a quick kiss on her lips and walked out of the room. Clary took a deep breath and went to the bathroom to take a shower and change her clothes. When she later came to the kitchen Izzy was sitting in a chair. When she saw her she smiled. It was a smile full of relief. The day Clary left Izzy agreed to become her parabatai, and as Jace had said she got seriously broken after she left. "Morning." "Morning, how did you sleep?" "Bad. I had these nightmares again. And it's the same one. I think it could be a message from angels, but I'm not sure." "What are they about?" "Izzy, please don't tell Jace. He is already stressed about me." "Okay, I promise I won't tell him but you are scaring me." "In those dreams, I'm in some house. I think it's Herondale manor but I'm not sure. Suddenly my mother appears from nowhere and stabs me in my stomach. Then Jace appears but it's too late. My mother stabs him and the last thing I remember is that we both die, holding hands." By the time Clary finishes Izzy is white like the wall behind her. Izzy stands up but accidentally knocks down a glass. It flies apart in shards. "Damn it." As Izzy crouches to pick up its broken pieces, her phone rings. "It's Alec. I have to pick it up, it's news about that demon attack." Izzy explains, stands up and turns around. Clary picks up one of the shards and brings it to her neck. Izzy doesn't notice anything, she is still talking to Alec on her phone, her back to Clary. "Clary come on, Jace is gonna be any minute back at the institute and-" Izzy turned with these words and when she saw Clary she felt like if someone had punched her into her stomach. She took out her stele and tried to activate Clary's iratze but it wasn't working. She was dead. Izzy didn't even notice she was kneeling in the shards of broken glass. She looked up and found Jace running to her dead body and taking it to his hands. He tried to activate her iratze but it sparked and then turned back into its normal color. It was too late. He hugged her dead body around her shoulders, tears running down his face. "I can't lose you. No. Clary, please come back to me. Please. This can't be real. No. I can't lose you again."
Clary opened her eyelids and found herself in the exact same place like when her memories came back. Darkness, light in the distance. She stepped into the direction of light, knowing what was waiting for her. She got to the center of the light and angel Raziel was waiting there for her. Took you long enough, Valentine's daughter. "Why am I here? How did I get there?" You are here because I called upon you. Because I needed to talk to you. "About what?" About your memories coming back, your rune talent and of course about the future. "What is with the future? Those dreams I had, they are visions aren't they?" They can be. It all matters of you. You see, we returned your memories because a great darkness is coming. Those murders that were committed, they aren't just murders. It's a ritual of twelve. Ritual that can summon an ancient evil angels kept locked up. It will be a threat to everyone, but mostly to Nephilim, my children. It'll want revenge and I believe that only you and Johnathan Herondale will be able to truly stop it. You'll see Clarissa that the darkness will come in the greatest light. And because of darkness, we cannot see the future of you, Johnathan or any of your friends. Because sometimes inventing the most powerful weapon doesn't necessarily mean winning the war. After a moment Raziel continued: And about your rune powers, we forbid you to use any of them. You will find out that making runes is not the only rune talent. Last words faded and she fell, like an angel cast out from heaven. Then she opened her eyes.
