Levi's POV

"Bah! Hanji!" I growled and quickly made my way down the chilling corridors to her laboratory. She gone too far- too far! The line ended when she took my tea leaves for her so-called experiments. I don't care if she says it's for her experiments with those titan crystals- I bet she's lying. Using them to mess with me. My footsteps echoed down the empty halls as I made my ways inside her messy office. "Hanji!"

Dust was layered all over the place like it hasn't been used for years. Only smudges in the dust told me that Hanji was messing around. But... it was eerie quiet tonight. I walked around- tsk, she tossed all her clothes on the ground! Such irresponsible of her. She was gonna be the next commander? Please. She can't keep her lab together- what makes her capable to handle a whole army?

"Hanji!"

Almost on cue, a small brown cat walks in with their right paw raised. A white streak ran across its left eye and pink nose. Its eyes were a certain caramel color- "Mew?"

I groaned, shaking my head. "Hanji, Erwin said you weren't allowed pets. What gives you permission to have a cat in your lab? It's just gonna cause a huge mess that I have to clean up on a later date. Where are you so I can figure out something to do with you."

The cat then jumps onto the counter- right next to a spilled experiment. That's it, I'm reporting this to Erwin and she can stop stealing all of my materials for her experiments. I couldn't stop growling at the idea of how much of a mess she was causing.

"Merow!"

The cat mews loudly and I scoffed it away. "Shut up, cat. I'm looking for your damn owner- wherever she is..."

For some reason, this cat kept nudging me- "Merrow!"

"What?!" The brown cat scampered off, but stops midway in the clothes. "Jeez, looks like someone is missing you, Hanji... and she'll kill me if you're dead..." I sighed and picked up the cat. I looked all over it, trying to find what gender it was. "Huh... a girl."

When I looked under her, she was trying to escape my grip. Jeez, talk about a sensitive cat. I lowered her down and cradled her like a baby. She squirmed a bit, but didn't move really. She looked curiously at me, getting startled when she began to purr.

"What's your name, little one...?"

"Merwo!"

"I don't know what that is, cat." Just like that, she jumps out of my arms- scurrying elsewhere. But she stopped in the pile of Hanji's clothes, purring as she curled up in it. "What about Hanji...?" For some reason, things began to click in my head. My eyes bounced between the cat, the clothes, and the spilled experiments on the table. Instantly, I rushed over to the experiments and went straight to Hanji's notepad. My eyes scurried across her messy handwriting...

"Meow." The cat jumped next to me, and I realized the truth; the cat's eyes were familiar because they were Hanji's eyes. No other girl could have such her eyes.

"Hanji...? Is that you...? Are you... the cat?"
