The last few days have been peaceful. With my manager's approval, we cut out as much unimportant stuff as we could so I could chill. Alissa and I have tried to get in as many dates and alone time as we can before we hit the road.

I'm actually really nervous about this tour. It's my first time performing in front of more than a bar full of people. I think the music Finneas and I have created is great, but I'm not so about my ability to execute it on stage. I've never really be one to doubt myself so this is new to me.

"Babe your mom is trying to FaceTime you," Lissa says as she tosses me my phone.

I stop what I'm doing and pick up quickly. "What's up mom."

"Hi my sweetheart. We are so proud of you. Are you excited for the tour," she spits out all at once making me laugh.

"Oh yeah definitely. I can't wait," I semi lie.

"Your dad has been watching all your recent interviews. He said you are doing really well not saying anything stupid that will get you sued."

"Well shit look at me," I chuckle. "How's the moving process?"

"Good. By the time you get back to LA for your last show we will be settled and ready to see you on stage. Charlie found a nice place too and already secured a job at some firm."

"Cool. I can't wait to have you guys out here.

"Same sweetie. How is Alissa? Does she like her new home."

"I'm fine Helen. It's been great honestly." Alissa yells.

"Good. Your car should make it there sometime while you're gone."

"Thank god," Lissa yells excitedly.

"Thanks again for taking care of that for me mom. I appreciate it."

"Of course Billie. I love you. See you soon ok?"

"Love you too," I say before hanging up.

"Your mom is so cute."

"She is something. Do me a favor and hang out with her whenever you get back."

"Sure baby," she nods and continues packing.

......

A few hours and an excruciating long tour bus ride later we reach our first destination. There will be little time for sleep because I have been scheduled to do some radio interviews and tomorrow night is the first show which means rehearsal, rehearsal, and more fucking rehearsal.

Once we check into the hotel I throw my stuff down and plop on the bed. Alissa joins me with a dramatic sigh.

"That was awful," she giggles. "And to think I wanted us to live in a tiny house."

"Yeah there's no way in hell I'm doing that shit. I need space."

I pull her close and she rests her head on my chest. We lay in silence until a loud knock startles us both.
