"Wakey wakey," my assistant Zoe says as she barges into my hotel room.
"Ugh it's too early for this shit," I groan throwing the covers over my head.
She comes over and pulls them completely off the bed. "Sorry Bil but you know the drill. You have about two hours to be ready to go."
She leaves the room just as fast as she came in and I lay there throwing a mini temper tantrum.
It's been about a month on this tour and apparently my team thinks I can no longer be trusted. After getting drunk one too many times and blacking out, I'm now under watch by my assistant and sometimes Finneas.
I get up and strip down to take a shower when my phone vibrates on the nightstand. I look over and it's Alissa so I answer it.
"Hello."
"Hey babe," she says in her tired voice. I know it's late where she is, but she always tries to call me when it's convenient for me.
"Hey shorty. Shouldn't you be asleep?"
"I just wanted to hear your voice. What's on the agenda today?"
"A magazine shoot, signing some merch at this fan event, and a show. What did you get into today?"
"Class. We are working on a group project. Oh my professor was impressed with the graphics I did for some of your stuff."
I smile. "Of course he was. My baby is fire."
"You're so silly. I miss you Bil," she sighs.
Her sad voice makes my heart hurt. "I miss you too. I'll be home soon and we can do whatever you want. I already ordered your Christmas gifts. Charlie let me ship them to her place."
"Oooh what did you get me," she giggles.
"None of your business. Now go to bed."
"Fine. I love you."
"I love you too Lissa. Goodnight," I end the call and toss my phone on the bed.
After I shower and pick out the perfect outfit we are off to the fan event. I cancel the magazine shoot because I hate the concept and they aren't willing to compromise which means I now get a little free time before tonight's show.
"Remember Bil, keep the conversation short. There are a lot of fans here," Marlene the event coordinator says as we are being taken through the back of the store.
"Don't worry I'll keep her on track. Is there extra security? John wants to know," Zoe says while typing away on her phone.
"Yes of course," Marlene nods.
Some of my team is already set up to take pictures and capture some video footage. The others are setting up the merch and stuff. As soon as I walk through the door the room erupts in screams and there is a sea of people yelling my name. I take a seat at the table prepared for me and wave at everyone. I would have never in a million years imagined this would be my life.
