Shower scare

Colby's pov
I was downstairs making a sandwich when I heard a cry for my help.
"COLBY!!!! HELP ME!!"
I dropped the sandwich and picked up the butter knife I was using and ran upstairs.
"Hurry colbs!"
I heard her in the shower and ran into the bathroom.
I saw her with a towel wrapped around her body and the steamy shower still running.
"What?! What is it?!" I shouted wondering where the danger was.
"There's a spider in the shower!!" She squealed.
"Oh my god! I thought you were dying!"
She started to shake and whine about the spider.
"Babe! Kill it!!" She screamed.
I rolled my eyes and walked out of the room.
"Where are you going!?" She cried.
"To get a shoe!!" I shouted back at her.
I walked back in and opened the shower curtain and smacked the spider with the shoe.
I washed it down the drain and heard her groan from behind me.
"Now what?"
"I don't want to get back into a shower full of spider entrails!!"
"You'll be fine. It's a clean shower."
"Yeah, that's been contaminated with spider guts!"
"Suck it up." I rolled my eyes and walked out of the bathroom.
"Wait Colby!" She beckoned
"Yes princess?" I asked slightly impatiently.
"Can you stay with me? I don't want to be alone."
I sighed but couldn't say no to her adorable begging face.
"Yes princess, I'll stay with you."
She smiled and got back into the shower.
I sat on the counter and talked to her as she finished her shower.
Once she got out she put on her clothes and waited for me to join her in bed.
Once we both got settled in, she rested her head on my bare chest over my tattoo and traced it.
I heard her whisper something so I looked down.
"What did you say?"
She looked up at me and smiled.
"You're my hero."
My heart pounded as I looked at her and fell in love even more.
"Thank you babe."
