"Koo June got in the bowling team," Jennie announced during their afternoon break.
Song bit in his bread. "That's really no surprise - that guy's really sporty."
"And smart too! Isn't he top 3 of your class, Jennie-unnie?" Lisa added.
Jennie stared at her food tray. Smart and sporty? I never noticed that in June before. Then again, we've been classmates since elementary.
"Jennie-unnie?" Rose tapped her shoulder. "You spaced out."
Jennie shook her head. "Oh, did I? Yes, Lisa...ahem...he is 3rd in our class."
"Hi, student council!" the members of the basketball team waved at them.
"Do you mind if we sit here?" June asked Jennie.
How did I only notice now that June is extremely good-looking? she thought.
"Jennie-unnie?" Rose tapped her shoulder again.
"Oh. OH! Not at all, please sit." Jennie refocused on her food, afraid that she might be blushing.
"Your captain is not with you?" Donghyuk asked, referring to Bobby.
Hoon shrugged. "He took off somewhere. No idea where." He looked around. "Your president isn't with you either."
"Jisoo-unnie always takes her lunch somewhere on Tuesdays. We call it her quiet time," Lisa replied. She caught sight of Yoon, who was eating quietly. "Hey, I know you! You're the guy who challenged Bobby-hyung in the tryouts!"
Yoon nodded silently. "Nice to meet you."
"No need to be so formal! We're in the same year. You transferred this year, right? There's no way I couldn't have not known you."
June leaned in towards Jennie who was sitting across him. "I think they're hitting off - what do you think?" he asked.
Jennie stared at her milk box and swallowed. "Yeah," she replied without looking at June. She's afraid he might see her red face.
SECRET GARDEN
Jisoo can't help but smile as she entered the secret garden. Instead of a patch of marigold, the entire place was filled with marigolds. It looked like a paradise.
Bobby is so cool and tough-looking, but not everyone knows he has a green thumb. She sat down the bench. Ahhh, finally. Some peace and quiet, and some me time. Huh? What's this?
