"Isn't this a little too convenient?"

Chapter One, Begin.

"[L/n] [Y/n], 15 years old. Described as having [h/l], [h/c] hair, [s/c] skin, and [e/c] eyes. She is [height], and [weight]. Her quirk is a combination of her mother's and her father's and is found to be quite powerful. As of April three years ago, her mother -a Pro Heroine by the name of The Moonlit Hero: NightWatcher- disappeared during a rescue operation in Japan. She went Missing In Action- or MIA for short.

"[L/n] was placed in 'The American Heroine Prep Academy' - a school her mother once taught at- where she trained her quirk and learned Japanese for three years, then applied for UA. She used her mother's will to book a flight from [C/N]* to Japan, where she took the Physical Exam and earned a score high enough that she became an official student at UA.

"Until she went missing, just as her mother had. However, two days ago, she was found unconscious in the class 1-B by student Monoma Neito. The classroom was seemingly untouched, the only signs of anyone having been there being the [L/n] herself."

Principal Nezu sighed, closing the folder. "That's all we know, for now."

The UA teachers sat at the U-shaped conference table, silent as they pondered over the information they had just received. With a sigh, Aizawa- also known as Eraserhead- decided to break the silence.

"The cameras didn't catch anything?"

Nezu shook his head. "When reviewing the camera footage, we did notice that something seemed off. One second, the classroom was empty, the next she was lying in the corner unconscious. Someone must have looped the video feed."

"Well," Aizawa frowned, "We all know there are only a few reasons she could be here."

The conference room returned to silence.

They had all known it already, but her disappearing and showing up wasn't an accident. They knew that they had to consider that she may or may not be a trap, laid by villains or the media. Though, the media wouldn't kidnap a child for this.

"Where is the girl's father?" Midnight asked, concerned for the young teen.

Nezu sighed almost sadly, setting the folder down in front of him. "He left before she was born. Nightwatcher refused to put his name on the birth certificate as well."

"So her legal guardian is-"

"Herself, but due to her acceptance into UA, we are too."

...

So, they had to accept her.

"That certainly complicates things," Aizawa mumbled tiredly.

"But each class already has 20 students, wouldn't that be a problem?" Kan, the teacher of class 1-B, pointed out.

"Well, we are UA! If we were to accept this girl in need of positive authority figures in her life, nobody would question it, seeing as we are positive authority figures!" Principal Mic's input was long overdue, but that didn't mean he was wrong.

Nezu gave a small nod. "While that is true, think about the press. If we tell them everything we currently know, they can make a big deal out of it: Either turn it into a positive story about UA taking in a child in need, or a scandal saying the decision was biased due to her mother's heroic deeds. It all depends on how the information is delivered."

"So, there will have to be another Press Conference." Midnight stated, to which Nezu responded with a nod.

"However, [L/n] will need to be at this conference as well. The press will want her present to make sure the information is viable."

All Might had remained silent this entire time but decided it was time to join the conversation. "Then it's settled: [L/n] will join UA, but will have to attend a Press Conference as well. The next question is, which hero-course class will she be in?"

The teachers all glanced at Aizawa, already knowing the answer. Considering how intelligent and observant he was, they all knew he'd be the best teacher for the job.

"Dammit." He breathed. Hopefully, she wasn't as much of a hand-full as the others.

Poor Aizawa. He should've known better.

Author's Note

Hi again!
I apologize for the long wait. I have a tendency to completely delete my work and start over when it doesn't work good enough. Anyway, this chapter fit better than what I originally had planned anyways. (Other than the fact it's kinda short, but it's meant to ease the reader into the story and provide some background.)

Anyone recognize the chapter name? It's actually from a pretty popular album I like...

Anyway, I just have a quick poll for all of you. It'd really make writing this easier, especially the first question. I mean, I'm 5'7 so it's strange when I read BNHA reader inserts and she's shorter than Deku...

Now, quick announcement:

I'm going to make a Halloween Special as a filler. I've had an Autumn nostalgia/aesthetic for a few days now, and it actually helps my motivation and writing skills flow easier. It also gave me an interesting (and fun) idea for a Fall Special, so I'm going to start on that sometime in the next few weeks.

That's it for now! Have a lovely day, and Happy Reading~!
