Taehyung is left a little shaken up after that incident earlier. The boys had mocked him and called him names before finally letting him go. The blue-haired boy unconsciously raises his hand to his chin where the boy from earlier had gripped him tightly. He can already feel the bruise forming.
Taehyung tries to shake off the overbearing thoughts about earlier as he hurries to what he hopes is his science class. The boy enters cautiously into the room full of students. A man, probably around his late fifties, stares at him questioningly.
"Uhh, can I help you."
Taehyung nods, "um, yes, I was just wondering if I had the right class. I'm kinda new here." The boy tries his hardest not to fidget or stutter. He mentally pats himself on the back for speaking properly, even though he was a little quieter than he should have been.
The teacher walks up to Taehyung before gesturing for the timetable that he grips in his hands. The blue-head holds it out for him, waiting anxiously for the teacher to read it as he feels the eyes of the student bore into him.
"Ahh, yes, you're the new student I was supposed to be getting. Lovely. Well Taehyung, my name is Mr Fo, welcome to the class, please introduce yourself formally to your peers."
Taehyung nervously heads to the middle of the class, head slightly ducked from the hawk-like eyes that stare at him.
"H-hello," he mentally curses himself for stuttering. "My name is Kim Taehyung, nice to meet you all." He bows to the class. He nervously looks around, meeting eyes with the scrutinising stares of his classmates.
"Right, Taehyung, now that you've introduced yourself, please take a seat."
Taehyung nods before searching the room for an empty seat. He almost squeals in excitement upon spotting a seat by the window. He heads over to it, ignoring the ogling eyes of the students he passes and takes a seat in the chair.
"Right class, today we will be talking about chemical imbalances in the body."
Taehyung immediately shoots his eyes up at the teacher's words. He loved all things chemistry, especially biochemistry. He tries to hide his excited smile, leaning in closer to listen intently on the lesson.
"Chemical imbalance is when the chemicals in your body, for example, thyroxine, is not in working balance or in suitable proportion to the other chemicals in the body. Chemical imbalances can lead to many malfunctions in an organism, causing a wide range of disabilities and diseases."
Taehyung unconsciously nods before writing down his notes eagerly, despite already knowing all this information. Call him a nerd, he didn't care, he loves science.
Suddenly the door to the room opens and in comes a familiar ravenette. Taehyung's eyes nearly bulge out of his head upon realising who it is. It is the boy from earlier. The reason his jaw is starting to stain with this bluish purplish bruise.
"Ah Jungkook, I see you're late to class again."
Jungkook merely shrugs before taking a seat at the very front of the class. Mr Fo smiles at Jungkook with a look of admiration before looking back to the board. Taehyung is left confused over the encounter, shouldn't he be mad at Jungkook for being late?
"What was I saying....?" the teacher continues, grabbing the blue-heads attention once again. "Ah right Chemical imbalances cause a variety of disabilities and diseases. In fact, scientists believe that the disease of homosexuality is caused by a chemical imbalance in the brain."
Taehyung's heart stops at the words. Disease of homosexuality. The pen that he once gripped onto now carelessly slips out of his, landing on the wooden floor with a metallic clink.
