I walk out of my room, dressed and ready for the work day. I walk in the hallway and almost make it out into the living room but Toby stops me and cheers.
"Mrs. Lovett says we're taking a trip to the sea today Miss Audrey!"
I smile, "Really Toby?" I place a hand on his shoulder to stop him from bouncing, "When?"
"Soon! Best go change into your normal clothes." He says and beams up at me.
"Ok, Ok" I laugh and walk back to my room, "How about you go fetch your kite, we can play with it there?"
He nods and runs off as I go back into my room to change. I hum to myself and pick out a new dress to put on. I change rather quickly and fix my hair that had came down from it's bun. I looked at myself in the mirror and walked out of the room. Toby met me with his kite in hand and I smiled at him, Mrs. Lovett was there too, and she held a basket of food for what seems like a picnic.
"Goodmorning, love. Will you be a dear and tell Mr. Todd we're leaving to the sea?" She says and double checks everything in her basket.
"Of course." I nod and leave through the shop door and up the stairs to the barber shop.
I'm glad that me and Mrs. Lovett cleaned up the bloody mess last night or we would have work to do before leaving, and that would have worn me out. I make it to the door and I knock three times, so he knew it was me. A 'come in', was heard through the door so I walked in.
"Goodmorning Mr. Todd, I came to tell you that we're having a picnic at the sea today, would you like to come? I'm sure Mrs. Lovett isn't giving you a choice though." I chuckled to myself and held my hands together in front of my dress.
"I guess I have too." He sighed and fixed his sleeves after putting a freshly cleaned and polished razor in his belt.
Strangely, this man didn't frighten me, I felt this weird connection to him. Maybe it was because we bonded on taking revenge and having hatred towards Judge Turpin.
"Lovely, I'll tell her then. And I'll leave you to get ready." I turn and go to the door.
"I am ready." He said and started to walk with me through the door and down the stairs.
My mouth twitched upwards, He doesn't talk to me much, and when he does, it makes me feel... special.
"How'd you sleep Mr. Todd?" Mrs. Lovett asked when we walked through the door. She looked up and smiled at him. Oh how clear her feelings are to this man.
"Fine." He said and sat on the bench near the door.
I noticed Toby having trouble with his kite's strings and I smiled, "Let me help you, love." I walked over and took the kite from his hands to untangle the strings.
"Thank you Miss Audrey." He said as I handed him back his kite.
"You're welcome." I said and looked up at Mrs. Lovett. "Ready to go?"
She nodded and we all left one after the other.

When we got there Mrs. Lovett layed out a blanket and put the food down, later sitting on the blanket. She patted the spot beside her for Mr. Todd to sit down. Toby ran off with his kite and I laughed to myself at the adorable child. Mr. Todd sat down reluctantly and I sat in the grass by the tree, playing with the flowers. Mrs. Lovett got excited and got on her knees to face Mr. Todd. Once she kisses his cheek aI try to stifle my laughter from his expression. But I couldn't help but notice an ugly feeling in my chest.. Strange.

'Ooh, Mr. Todd! (kiss)
I'm so happy! (kiss)
I could (kiss)
Eat you up, I really could!
You know what I'd like to do, Mr. Todd? (kiss)
What I dream (kiss)
If the business stays as good?
Where I'd really like to go...
In a year or so?
Don't you want to know?'

     "Of course." He said nonchalantly.

'Do you really want to know?'

"Yes i do."

'By the sea, Mr. Todd, that's the life I covet
By the sea, Mr. Todd, ooh, I know you'd love it!
You and me, Mr. T, we could be alone
In a house what we'd almost own
Down by the sea!'

'Anything you say'

'Wouldn't that be smashing?

Think how snug it'll be underneath our flannel
When it's just you and me and the English Channel!
In our cozy retreat kept all neat and tidy
We'll have chums over ev'ry Friday!
By the sea!
Don'tcha love the weather?
By the sea!
We'll grow old together!
By the seaside
Woahh
By the beautiful sea!

It'll be so quiet
That who'll come by it
Except a seagull
Hoo, hoo!
We shouldn't try it
Though, 'til it's legal for two-hoo!
But a seaside wedding could be devised
Me rumpled bedding legitimized!
Me eyelids'll flutter
I'll turn into butter
The moment I mutter I do-hoo!'

There came that ugly feeling again. Why is this happening? Toby cam over and sat next to Mrs. Lovett, he tapped my knee to tell me to come over too. So I scooted next to Toby and Mrs. Lovett put her arms over all of us, her hand resting on my back.

'Down by the sea
Married nice and proper
By the sea
Bring along your chopper
To the seaside hoo hoo!
By the beautiful sea!'

I nod to myself after I take in all the information Mrs. Lovett dreamed of. What an interesting place to live, the sea. I hate sand so it would be quite unlikely that I'd live here. I almost laugh again when I notice That Mr. Todd's expression did not change at all, throughout the whole thing. The food was halfway gone when we packed up, apparently Mrs. Lovett was to distracted to eat, and
Mr. Todd didn't want any.
On our way back I asked Mr. Todd, "So would you live by the sea?"
"No, I hate sand." He said simply and kept looking forward.
"Me too! I hate how it gets everywhere and gets really hot, I don't think I'd live there." I said and I noticed him glance down at me, and perhaps linger there longer than normal. And here comes that special feeling again...
"Do you plan on staying with Mrs. Lovett? After I get to your Micheal?" He asks. My eyes widen, he asked me a question! This normally never happens.
"Oh he's not my Micheal, and maybe not, I did go to school for designing, so I might open a shop of clothing one day." I smile at the thought and look up at him. "What about you? Still a barber after you get to Turpin?"
His face changes to a dark expression at the mention of The Judge. "I dont know."
Ah thats just great (sarcasm). I brought up a bad subject, now we wont talk anymore...
