Here we are, time for more rushing. Sorry about that btw. Also, apologies, my update schedule is a little wack rn. Anyway, hope you enjoy!

I was sitting downstairs, sewing a hole in my skirts. I was humming a peculiar tune, it sounded familiar. It went a little like something I heard from Toby. Oh well, best focus on my skirts. Mr. Todd came down a while later and sat with me instead of sitting by himself in the shop. It has been a little awkward between us recently, because we addressed our feelings but didn't act on them. I wonder what life would be like if Turpin never lusted after Lucy... I would never meet Sweeney I suppose. I feel bad for thinking it, but I'm kind of glad that this all happened because of the outcome. Sure, I'm a little messed up in the head living in solitary with a man who is also messed up. But I wouldn't give it up for the world.
I put my needle and thread between my lips to hold it while I finish tying the gap together. Sweeney would occasionally watch me work but he mainly just played with a razor. My head snapped up and I took the needle out of my mouth when I heard the door open. Sweeney stood up and put his razor in his pocket. It was the police officer from before, the one with the silly mustache.
"Mr. Todd, Miss Wood. We have investigated the cases of Judge Turpin and Micheal Graham and we see that you two have been the last to know their whereabouts." His hand was kept on his bat by his side, he was afraid we would attack I suppose.
I stand up carefully and drop my skirts, "Sir, have I told you, that once everyone comes here for a shave that they all travel to the bar next door?" I make up a lie on the spot and stand by Sweeney, taking his hand in mine.
His head cocked to the side a bit, "I'm sure that cannot be true, for the owners next door claim that they have not seen any of the two recently."
I refrain from making any movements that would show I'm lying. "Sir, have I also told you that your mustache is absolutely in need for a shave, your wife mustn't like how messy it is at the moment." I look up at Sweeney for a quick second, he seems to have gotten the memo.
"Oh yes sir, I could give you a quick shave, be back to work in a flash." Sweeney nods and squeezes my hand a bit.
The policeman's hand rested away from his batton. "I suppose I am a little overdue."
"Great," I say and walk over to the man, Sweeney behind me.
"Right this way, sir." Sweeney say and lets go of my hand to walk up the barber shop's stairs and through the door.
I sit him down on the chair and put the cloth around him, tying it in the back. "So, how is the search going?"
"Not very well, no one seems to have a solid alibi in the case." He said and relaxes in the chair.
I simply nod and look up at Sweeney, he nodded and took out his razor, not even bothering to spread the cream on the mans face.
"Don't worry, sir. This won't hurt a bit, it's just a shave." I say with a smile and Sweeney effortlessly kills the man. "Oh my, what trouble this is. Sweeney, Sweetheart, no questions, pack your things, we have to leave right away." I wipe the blood off my face and in a rush of adrenaline I kiss Sweeney's cheek. "Quickly now."
"Where are we going?" He called out as I ran to the door.
"France!" I responded and fled down to the bakery.
I had been planning for us to escape for a while now, if people found out... I couldn't bear it. I had already planned out where we would be going and all.
After my things- and a bit of Toby's too- were packed I took my suitcase by the door. Sweeney beat me to it and was sitting at the table, he has less things, I guess.
"You have everything, Clothes, pictures, razors, everything?" I list off items and take and apple from a basket.
     "Yes, why are we leaving?"
"We'll be brought to prison, or worse, Fogg's if someone finds out, love, I won't let that happen. Now, off we go." I take his hand, pull him out of the chair and take out luggage too. I bite the apple and then throw it in an alleyway once we get out of the shop.
"You're mad." He shook his head with a smile and we started our journey to the docks.
Once we got to the docks I quickly rushed onto the ship that was for France after giving the captain money. Sweeney looked around and put his stuff on the floor next to us. People bustled around, shouting orders and pulling ropes. We left barely a minute after we boarded.
"We can see the three kids once we get there, won't that be lovely dear?" I squeeze Sweeney's hand and leaned against the pillar behind us.
"Yeah, my daughter- barely- her husband and a kid who tried to kill me. Lovely."
"Now love, that's in the past, I'm sure Toby wasn't thinking then and I'm sure we can tell Johanna eventually."
"I don't think she'd be glad knowing her father is a murderer."
"Well, she'll get used to it, knowing her mother is a murderer as well." I could barely stop the words from coming out of my mouth, the thought made my heart do flips. Sweeney stayed silent after that, which made me worry if he didn't want me to be Johanna's mother. Not a second later a young man came up to us in a sailors outfit.
"Hello, may I show you to your cabin? Mr. And Mrs...?"
I looked away in embarrassment and my face felt hot. CABIN? Together?
"Todd, sir." Sweeney answered and I wanted to hide my face more. WHAT? I was actually internally screaming.
     "Right, Well, right this way."

This is going to be a long trip!
