The next day everything was cleaned up, no more bodies, no more pies, no more anything. It felt strangely empty. I came out of my room and went into the kitchen, Mr. Todd wasn't there for a change. My eyebrows raised and I took some food to make breakfast. I also made coffee, of course.
Once it was done I put it on a tray and carried it up to the barber shop. I knocked clumsily with my foot and steadied the tray to open the door with my hand. I pushed it open with my back side and closed it with my foot.
"There has got to be an easier way to bring you food." I say and set the tray on the vanity.
I got no response and turned around to look for him. My eyebrows creased together in confusion and I took my own coffee from the tray to sip it.
"Mr. Todd?" I ask and scan the room. He wasn't in sight, must still be sleeping.
I sip more of my drink and I start to hum a bit when I clean up him desk. (The tune of Pretty women). How interesting this man is, his story, and personality, everything. Mrs. Lovett shouldn't have lied to us, It would have been nice to keep her around.
I move the spare parchment and pens off the desk and into a drawer to save space. I drink my coffee and open the case of razors to clean them.
As I'm cleaning/ polishing one I hear footsteps behind me. I turn quickly as I brandish the razor. It was just Todd. Who else would it be?
"Ah, scared me there." I chuckle to myself and sip coffee. "Did I wake you?" I put the razor back into the case and shut it.
"Just a bit." He shrugged.
"Sorry." I say and finish my cup of coffee. "I made breakfast."
He just nods and takes some from the tray.
"Anyway, I was planning on-." I was interrupted by a knock coming from the door. Me and Mr. Todd looked at each other curiously and I opened the door.  "Yes?"
It was a man in a police uniform. I kept a kind face and looked at Mr. Todd.
"Sorry Miss, we're just looking for the absent Judge Turpin." The man had the classic mustache that moved when he talked, weird.
"Oh, he's not here, of course. Where was he last seen?" I lean against the door frame and smiled kindly.
"Here, ma'am. I suppose he was getting a shave."
Mr. Todd stepped into the police man's view, "Would you like a shave sir?"
I knew exactly what his intentions were so I glared at him subtly.
"Oh no thank you, shouldn't while on the job." He said and turned back to me. "Do you happen to have an idea where he is?"
I pretended to think a bit, "Actually, I believe he said that he was taking a trip with The Beadle to relieve stress."
The officers eyebrows raised in surprise. "Do you know where?"
"Ah somewhere in Australia most likely." I smiled, yes good thinking me.
The man nodded, "Thank you, ma'am. Have a nice day."
"You too." I called out as he left.
I turned to Mr. Todd and shut the door. "If we killed him people would have gone lookin' more."
"It would have been so easy, though." He said.
I nod. "Yes, but, love, If we're to keep you out of prison, no more killing."
He gave me a look and his hand left his side with the razor. I made a face back and picked up the tray.
"Would you like the burial today?"
"Whenever is possible."
I nod and open the door. "See you later."

{time skip to after burial}

I side hug Mr. Todd after the burial and wipe my face, it surprisingly was only sprinkled with tears here and there. I looked up and saw that he had a straight face, as usual, but his eyes looked pained. I decided that we would stay as long as he wanted.
"Let's go home."
... Or not. "Okay, I'll meet you at the carriage."
About ten steps away I heard the familiar sound of crying. I bit my lip and refrained from turning around to go and comfort him... I made it about three paces more... F*ck it. I turned around and jogged back to wrap my arms around his frame. He shook slightly and I held him tightly, it was cold. I glanced up and his eyes were screwed shut. For once I didn't say anything and we just stood there. It'll be alright, we'll be alright. Eventually I pulled back from the hug and he glanced down at me. I weakly smiled and dragged my feet along to the carriage that kindly waited for us. Once inside I held his hand and we both looked out the windows. I hated myself for it, but my heart was going 80 mph at the moment and I finally realized it... I like Sweeney Todd.

(Omg, I'm sorry my writing gets really bad around these newer chapters because of the relationship development, carry on)

The next day was rather chill but I seemed to unintentionally avoid Mr. Todd. That was until he confronted me about it.
"You're avoiding me." Mr. Todd said while stopping me from leaving his shop after dropping off his dinner.
"What? No..." I look away and my heart does little flips.
"What's wrong Audrey?"
hOLY MORE FLIPS. "Nothing, I'm fine."
"No you normally pester me, and now you try to leave as quickly as possible, why?" His voice held a certain tone, kind of, disappointed.
I looked up at him reluctantly, "I pester you?"
"Yes," he paused when he saw my face, "maybe that's not the right word to use."
"I-I'm sorry." I looked back down at my hands.
"The point is, that you are avoiding me, clearly, what did I do?" He leaned a little closer to see my face.
It erupted in flames, or at least felt like it. "Seriously," I looked up to reassure him. "It's no big deal."
"So it is something." He said and smirked.
I scrunch my nose and lean a little closer. "And if it is?"
He doesn't say anything but stares at me straight in the eyes. I see curiosity in those pretty eyes of his. I then notice my eyes flicking downwards to his lips and back up. I lean away after another second.
"Nothing, it's just... nothing."
He stares at me more and I notice longing in his eyes. I stare back and turn to the door, my back facing him.

Pov: 3rd

Something seemed to click in Sweeney's mind because he immediately realized that the feelings he dismissed as sadness were actually the opposite. He stood there for a moment and noticed how Audrey paused once her hand rested on the doorknob. He made his decision and stalked forward, grabbing Audrey by the shoulder and pulling her around to face him.

Pov: Audrey

And then the unthinkable happened.

He

Kissed

Me!

My eyes widened as my hand let go of the door and went to his face. My eyes fluttered closed as I kissed back. The feeling was incredible, it felt like couldn't breathe properly and yeah, it felt fireworks like were exploding in my stomach. We pulled apart and I opened my eyes and smiled.

"Problem solved."
