Graypaw's POV:

I can't believe my brother and I are real ThunderClan apprentices!

Then I turned to Blackstripe. "What are we going to do now?"

"We can have some hunting practice if you like," He told me back.

"Yeah! Can Whitestripe and Blazepaw come along?" I asked him.

"Actually, I had already planned for Blazepaw to change the Elders' bedding. Last night, I heard Mousefur complaining about thorns in her nest." Then Blazepaw stared at me constantly. Is that jealousy in his eyes? I'm not gonna fight him just because Firestar gave me a better mentor.

"Okay," I mewed to Whitestripe.

Then I heard Foxleap's mew. "Hey, Blackstripe! Can Rosepetal and I go with you? We were also going to figure some hunting tactics for our apprentices!"

"Of course," The white-and-black tom mewed. Then we headed off.

As we were walking, Molepaw and Cherrypaw were making jokes about 'everything' Mousefur complains about and start mocking her. I don't bother talking to them. They think that they're about a thousand times smarter than me.

Then we finally reached the training hollow. Then we sat down.

"Why don't we do the basics? It's Graypaw's first time out of camp, training. How 'bout we start with the hunters' crouch?" Blackstripe mewed.

"Hmph! We've already practiced the hunters' crouch a long time ago," Cherrypaw boasted.

"Cherrypaw! Can't you see that you need to be respectful! It's Graypaw's first day out of camp!" Foxleap snapped at her.

Then Cherrypaw dipped her head. "Oh I'm sorry, Foxstar!"

"Cherrypaw, you'd better shut it up or you'll be picking ticks of the Elders for a moon! Mousefur will be delighted,"

Then she flattened her ears. "I'm sorry,"

"You'd better be," He mewed. Then he turned to Blackstripe. "Okay, let me and Rosepetal take Molepaw and Cherrypaw to practice more complicated moves. You can learn the basics with Graypaw."

"Okay, you guys can use that side while we practice here," Blackstripe mewed as he pointed his tail over to the empty spot on the other side.

Foxleap nodded and beckoned Rosepetal to go to the other side.

"Okay," Blackstripe started. "Keep your body low, head high, and tuck your paws under your chest."

He demonstrated, I tried to do the same. "Keep your tail still, or else the prey will hear you swishing the leaves around." He told me. Then I suddenly noticed my tail was swishing around. I held it still and high so I can mimic him. "There, you got it. I'd better catch something and take it back to camp. You can continue practice later."

"Okay," I mewed.

**************************************************************

We started walking back to camp. I was helping Blackstripe carry his catch.

"Did you catch that?" Blazepaw asked me as soon as we reached camp. Then I dropped the shrew.

"Blackstripe," I told him.

"What did you learn?" He asked.

"I few hunting moves. The first one was the hunting crouch,"

Then Blazepaw flattened his ears and looked away. He's still jealous, right? Had Whitestripe made him take care of the elders this entire time? I can see it in his gaze. I wonder what Blazepaw really thinks of me.
