Blazewhisker's POV:

As we settled down into the marshes, I felt some pride. It was a good idea to go to the marshes. The damp air makes it hard for anyone to scent us, and the noises are loud enough so no one could hear us. "Start from the beginning," I mewed to Sun.

"Well, in the beginning, I saw cats racing after me with death in their eyes. Not a sweet ambition. They were... They were..."

"Sun? Who were they?" Honeysap asked.

"They were... All of you rogues... You two were there..."

"We would never do that!" I snapped.

"But it was just a sign. I don't think they mean you will. But then a voice had sounded in my ears..."

"What did it say?" I asked.

"It said: ThunderClan... ThunderClan... Die... Die..."

"I think it means that she must join ThunderClan or die," Honeysap guessed as she looked at me. She could be right.

"I think so, but I still don't think we'll kill her. And besides, it must be one of those false signs from so-called 'StarClan' again. So vague, that they don't even make any sense! And that sign that my mother was talking about before she died, was nonsense! How could Grayheart and I die if we don't unite!" Then I got her voice in my head, Unite or die... Unite or die...

"You'll find out sooner or later," Honeysap's mew interrupted my thoughts.

"I know, but I don't know if it's true. Sun's nightmare could be the same thing. False lies. StarClan just wants cats to believe in what they say. It's not like it really means anything,"

"You never know," Honeysap replied.

"I won't believe this!" I mewed as my fur bristled and my ears flattened.

"Please, Blazewhisker..." Sun begged.

"Yes, Sun would never lie!" Honeysap encouraged.

"No, she didn't. StarClan did! Those free-running liars!" Then I decided to run. I ran quickly mindlessly.

It all happened quickly: The black-and-white creature swooped around me like the wind. I felt a claw rake across my chest. I felt like my breath was knocked out as I fell to the floor.

Then everything went dark.
