Graypaw's POV:

I start walking out in the forest to hunt. I still don't understand why Blazepaw doesn't like clan life. It's great! And he's just too young to turn on us now. Like me. I like hunting and patrolling for my clan! And Blackstripe has actually let me hunt on my own! Whitestripe is rather upset that his first apprentice has left him.

So I held my nose high and tried to sniff out some prey. Then I caught a whiff of a prey's scent near by. Water vole! Then I crouched and started nearing the scent slowly. Then I spotted the creature, scurdling in the grass by the lake. Yes!

For some reason, my mind grew dumb as a WindCland cat and I started chasing it. I have no idea why. The creature stared at me for a moment before running by the water. Then, as I ran, I accidently fell into the lake. So close to catching the vole, and now I'm almost drowning.

I can't breathe. I struggle to get to surface, but the current kept pushing me away. Then I caught a glimpse of a familiar orange pelt sitting by the lake as he stared at me from the surface.

"You coward!" He mewed.

"Blazepaw! Please help me!"

"Do I look like I'm gonna do what you ask me to do! You've grown so much like them! Giving demands,"

"Please! We're brothers! Don't turn on me now!"

"No, ThunderClan cat!" He mewed as if it was an insult.

"Why do you live with rogues again?"

"I once, as you don't know, met these strangers. They asked me to tell them about my life. So I told them. Then they felt bad so they promised me a better life."

"Can you at least  save me? We're littermates, or have you forgotten?" My brother is like a completely different cat now!

"I can't! Don't you see? Only clanmates save and protect each other!"

"Brothers do that too! Blazepaw... Please... You... Can't do this..." I mewed as I closed my eyes as my head fell underwater and I began to drown. Then I peeked my eyes open while narrowing them for a second as I sank. Then I saw an orange pelt blur as I closed them again. Then I didn't feel the water around me anymore. All I feel is grass, warm grass.

But... Why?
