Amber left me to go and get ready for her dance class, so I was left alone with my thoughts. When I finished, it was time for our next class, which was gym.

I walked over to the locker room and Cyrus ran up to me. I was not sure what to do, but I didn't think I would enjoy a conversation with him.

"Hey Jonah" he called "Why are you ignoring me?

"I'm not ignoring you Cyrus" I insisted "You're making to big a deal out of this"

"You look at me, but you don't talk to me" he continued "Aren't we supposed to be friends?"

"We are friends" I persisted "But at the moment, I'm going through a rough time"

I could tell from the expression on his face that Cyrus was worried about me. I loved and hated that about Cyrus. I appreciated his concern, yet I despised the fact that I couldn't keep anything from him. Keeping my crush a secret has been exhausting.

"But you're Jonah Beck, you can rise above it" he assured "And besides, why don't you just tell me what's happening?"

"Look Cyrus, I'm glad we're friends, but this is something I can't discuss with you at this time" I retaliated "That's just the way it is"

"Well I'm sorry you feel that way" he reacted "But if you don't tell me, I'll find some way to get it out of you"

I walked away from Cyrus, making it my mission to keep away from him for the rest of the day. It was becoming more depressing for me to stay away from him, but I knew it was for the best.

Through gym class, I made a point of looking in the opposite direction to Cyrus. I would get lost in his eyes and start failing all of my classes if I didn't do it.

Once class was over, Amber met up with me. It was a weird feeling to think that she was the only person that I trusted, considering her history. However, I was always willing to give anyone a second chance.

"So, did you get around to talking to Cyrus?" she enquired.

"No, we almost fell out though" I explained.

"Why?" she pressed.

"Because he accused me of ignoring him" I answered.

"But that's exactly what you are doing, isn't it?" she stated.

"Yes, but I didn't want him to know that" I rejoined.

"The longer you keep this from him, the harder it will get" she advised "Just tell him!"

"You really think that's a good idea?" I wondered.

"I know it is" she corrected.

I knew in reality that she was right, but how exactly could I go about this without seeming like a creep? I had to work something out, and fast.
