Chapter 5 - Advice

I had to leave, Cyrus looked at me with a concerned expression and I'd begun to allow myself to accept the fact that the feeling was mutual between us.

I ran as quickly as I could, and I spotted Amber almost immediately. I ran over to her, but my breath was going crazy. I couldn't talk, and Amber had to take the initiative.

"Jonah, you need to slow down" she calmed "Take a breath in, hold it for a moment, and then let it out again.

I followed her instructions and I began to finish having a panic attack. I couldn't help but think that there would be better ways to get over it though.

"Thank you Amber" I mumbled "I needed that"

"You're welcome" she replied.

"I wish Cyrus was the one calming me down though" I admitted "He always has the ability to make me feel safe"

"Have you told him yet?" she enquired.

"You could say that" I replied "I was talking to Andi and Buffy about it and he overheard us"

"What happened?" she continued.

"He cried and ran off, so I chased after him" I explained "And we had quite a heated argument which resulted in him admitting that he has a crush on me too"

"So why aren't you going out?" she questioned "I thought that you were going to talk to him about everything first"

"Because we argued" I retorted "And when he told me he had a crush on me, I freaked out, that's when I found you"

I watched as she tried to respond to what I had told her. She had a look of bewilderment on her face, which didn't make me feel any better.

"It seems to me like you were both going through the same thing at the same time" she said "If only you had told him earlier"

"So what do I do now?" I continued "It feels like the hardest situation I've ever been in"

"You need to go an talk with him, calmly" she advised "If you sit him down and have a guy chat, then you may be able to solve this"

"What would I do without you?" I chuckled.

"Fail miserably?" she joked.

"Haha, very funny" I reacted "Now let me get on with this"

"Well, what are you waiting for?!" she exclaimed "Go get your boy!"

"Trust me, that's exactly what I intend to do" I concurred.
