Before I could say anything, Cyrus jumped up and hugged me. I could feel that his heart was beating really fast, and he seemed to fit so perfectly in my arms.
"It's okay Cyrus" I promised "Everything will be okay"
"I was so worried" he sobbed "I thought I had lost my chance"
"You didn't need to worry" I replied "You mean everything to me, and I would've asked you out somehow"
Cyrus pulled my arm and put me in the seat next to where he was. He leaned his head on my shoulder and for the first time in a while, he seemed to be comfortable.
"You know, I knew things would work out" Andi stated "You really were meant to be with each other"
"I'm sure you did" I replied.
"It was obvious" Buffy added "Fate would've got you together. And failing that, WE would have done"
"Guys, stop" Cyrus begged "I want to enjoy this moment"
"Before we enjoy it, I want to talk" I responded "I think we need to clear the air before we move on"
"Okay, I think that's a good idea" Cyrus agreed.
Cyrus sat up properly and looked at me. I could see that he felt a little bit anxious, but the truth was that I felt worried as well.
"Cyrus, I have loved you since... before I can even remember" I explained "You made such a strong impression on me and I knew back then that you were my soulmate"
"I remember when I first met you, I was so nervous" Cyrus replied "I wanted to become friends and then I found myself unable to stop thinking about you"
"So you were a little obsessed with me?" I wondered.
"You could say that, but in a good way" Cyrus reacted "I just kept imagining how great it would be if we were dating"
"Well, very soon we're going to find out exactly what it is like" I said "And frankly, I don't want to waste another minute before..."
"Before what?" He posed.
I had chosen this as my moment. I slowly moved my face closer to his, allowing myself to feel his breath against my face. Gently, I pressed my lips against his, and we were fully connected. There was no more doubt in my mind anymore, we were meant to be together.
When I pulled away from him, he smiled at me and my heart melted. The girls were pleased too, but I was waiting for Cyrus to say something to make the moment even more perfect.
