"We will have her go into a squad and stay with them for a little. She will also be my adopted grandchild," The old man said.

At that I and the two men beside me shocked.

"ADOPTED GRANDCHILD?!"

Ryūko's POV:

"What do you mean grandchild Lord Hokage?" Gai asked.

"Ya, what is that supposed to mean old man?" I added.

"Well, we have to keep this a secret. Since you aren't even from this area, and, or, a dimension we cannot have her with someone random. I will take her in and she can live at the Hokage estate with me." The old man said.

I sighed deeply, "Why though?" I asked annoyed.

I slipped my coat back on as well as my gloves. I crossed my arms and stared at him.

"Well, it's logical. This will at least be for the beginning, probably not forever. You will have to join a squad of ninja, which I will stick you with Kakashi for safety." The old man said.

"Whatever, I probably don't have a choice anyway. So can you show me my room? I need to fix my arms quickly," I commented.

The old man nodded, turning to Kakashi.

"Kakashi, bring this girl to her room on the third floor. Gai, you are free to go." He exclaimed.

The two men nodded as the old man closed his eyes and looked downwards. Gai walked off first and out of the room with me and Kakashi behind him. After a few flits of stairs, we reached a hallway that had a few doors. After passing two we stopped at one. Kakashi pushes the door open, showing the room.

It was a traditional Japanese room with a bed and dresser, as well as a light that hung from the ceiling. I walked over and set down my suitcase on the bed.

"Kakashi," I said, gaining his attention, "Tell the old man I'll be in my room. You can leave and do other things now."

He nodded and headed out, closing the door. I took out my small toolbox, opening it and seeing everything inside. Knowing I had everything I set it down on my bed and then started unpacking my files and stuff. I set all my files into the very bottom dresser in my drawer, making sure no one would go into them.

I took my extra clothes that were the same exact outfit and set them into the drawer at the top. I grabbed my alchemy books and put them in the drawer underneath but with one of them on the bed. I set my almost empty bag on the floor next to my bed.

Because I had no more things to unpack I took a few extra floorboards, putting them together. I used a little alchemy and made a desk. I set it at the end of my bed, then walking over and grabbing my toolbox. I sat down and set my toolbox down. I took off my coat and gloves, setting them down on the floor next to me.

I looked down at my left arm, seeing that some areas were loose and some gears were out of place.

"Geez that teleporting thing must have been bad," I said, opening my toolbox.

I grabbed ahold of one of the plates that covered the inside and more complex areas. I took it off then had to take off another one. I placed them down and then took hold of one of my smaller wrenches. As I started screwing a few nails in a heard a knock on my door.

"Who is it?" I called.

"It's the old man, as you quoted. Do you mind if I open the door?" His muffled voice asked.
